Junk instead of frunk? (It ain't got none)
They do have a built in, non-car-people demographic. Price it right, play up the it-just-works-like-a-toaster aspect, and they will 100% find a bunch of takers.
I know, my dude, and I'm sorry about this. There are literally people still using the OG version since I started producing them in late 2022. (Same deal with the phone mounts and tablet mounts, btw)
It's probably not what you're looking for, but if you want to try something super simple, you...
It will not. Rivian decided to bundle the card reader with the wireless charger, and we're not going to offer a version that requires someone to still have the POS wireless charging husk in there to just drive the car.
I was toying around with the idea of creating a harness to relocate the...
I'd roll with the KO3s. I've had the previous KO2s on prior vehicles and they were excellent on and off road. Range will take a hit however.
Others may have a different opinion, perhaps more up to date as I've haven't really looked at this in 2+ years.
This is a lever that Tesla believes it can pull to increase sales volume. I wouldn't be surprised to see others like Rivian and GM follow suit.
This provides consumers choice and that choice is good regardless of what you end up going with.
I ended up selling the truck a while ago and moving to a Dual Max Pack setup.
I'd say they were fine, but barely so. They are less efficient than the Pirellis and as they wore, they started feeling a bit soft, kinda like the sidewall tucked under a bit.
I'd probably recommend something else...
Can confirm - it's more usable. Bed is huge. Range is huge. Google Maps is pretty great. Plug and charge for everywhere (including a Tesla, Ionna, EA) is nice. Lower load floor for the frunk is surprisingly convenient. Truck drives smaller than it should due to 4 wheel steer.
Rivian is still a...
My dude - they need to either buy back your truck or replace it with a different one. I've been following your odyssey, and I think you've progress through being a patient customer to being on the verge of a poor sap.
The likelihood of it being fixed so these issues don't come back is low...
Having now owned a Silverado EV, I can say without question the unlocking / locking behavior of both of my Rivians was really irritating. It's only exacerbated by the fact that the handles of the doors are always deployed when unlocked. If I choose to leave a Rivian unlocked in my garage, a door...
I have conflicting reports, unfortunately. The only thing that was consistent was that the extra length didn't amount to much.
At the end of the day, I wrapped the other enhancements into version 2.5: https://opensourceev.com/products/hitch-receiver-storage-box-v2
I feel like I need to be really clear on this because I don't want anyone to be misled.
Rivian might have some sort of cabin overheat protection, but it's 100% best effort and should not viewed as protection in this case. Surfaces throughout the interior (and likely towards the top) vastly...
I've been looking at this as well. From what I've seen, it holds up good, but not quite good enough for a hot interior in a hot climate right off the printer. The number that you really need to look at is the temp with 1.8 MPa, which is a light load or under tension, like with the glasses shown...
We will not be adapting this, or doing any additional development of this idea, unfortunately. If we would have continued, we would have formalized the cabling for this to support our USB kit that requires zero soldering, shrink-wrapping, etc...
I have a policy against editing reviews, but I can say that my testing has shown this to be inaccurate. It's likely close to 5-10 miles difference over an entire max pack 100-0% drive which is about half that.
Me too, man. It's really silly that something like this are required to make that happen.
They have very little difference. I done testing aero covers installed / removed at one point (there might be a post from me about it) and identical trips on the same day had near-as-enough identical...
