Itās actually very easy. Use it in the real world. Butā¦donāt market it as something itās not, leading to people largely using it in an unsafe way.
The issue is the way itās being used. That will address the safety issue. I can deal with the annoyance part if it doesnāt almost cause ridiculous...
And once FSD doesnāt make these key errors and make everyone around it crazy, it should be used more. Right now, using a system that makes everyone around you annoyed and is dangerous is silly.
That literally was your question. Now, if you want to ask the question of whether human divers make errors, the answer is yes. Of course, who wants an self driving car that makes the same errors as humans lol
Again, from inside the cabin, it seems fine. When you are on the road next to one, itās not.
Another example. 2 weeks ago, a neighbor was having their new Y pull into their driveway. It pulled in. Itās at the end of a cul de sac. The Y did not see me or kids on the street and as it adjusted to...
The issue with FSD is that, while it is nice for the driver, it drives everyone around them nuts. Eg it takes up way too much space because it leaves a silly amount of space in front. So instead of 1 car taking 2 car lengths, 1 car takes 4-5 car lengths. Which means you fit less cars on the road...
IIRC, with 50amps, your charger will be running at 40A x 240 = 9.6kW.
With 60amps, your charger will run at 48A x 240 = 11.5kW
Thatās a significant difference and probably is worth an extra $600 to me.
Right? Shows how people really feelā¦.
Iāve driven an EV longer than most on this forum. And Iāve had a solar powered EV longer than most on this forum. I also still have ICE cars.
I can tell you that even if you pay 0.05 or 0.10 for electricity, EVs are not always cheaper to own. Especially...
Iāll be honest, you will lose a ton if you purchase or lease another car for just a few months or a year. You can rent a car for $800/mo. Or you can Uber. Once you know your place in the R2 line, you can figure out what makes sense.
Who knows, in the end, the Subaru may be a bit terrible fix.
Whatās extremely costly?
you can price out the cost for an R1. Get the cost to fix the Subaru. And if you are false choicing between the two, compare the costs and pick the lower one.
