  1. 2026 R2 pricing, range & specs! $57,990 Performance Launch Edition / $53,990 Premium / $48,490 Standard / $45,000 Standard (Smaller Battery)

It’s actually very easy. Use it in the real world. But…don’t market it as something it’s not, leading to people largely using it in an unsafe way. The issue is the way it’s being used. That will address the safety issue. I can deal with the annoyance part if it doesn’t almost cause ridiculous...
  2. 2026 R2 pricing, range & specs! $57,990 Performance Launch Edition / $53,990 Premium / $48,490 Standard / $45,000 Standard (Smaller Battery)

And once FSD doesn’t make these key errors and make everyone around it crazy, it should be used more. Right now, using a system that makes everyone around you annoyed and is dangerous is silly.
  3. 2026 R2 pricing, range & specs! $57,990 Performance Launch Edition / $53,990 Premium / $48,490 Standard / $45,000 Standard (Smaller Battery)

That literally was your question. Now, if you want to ask the question of whether human divers make errors, the answer is yes. Of course, who wants an self driving car that makes the same errors as humans lol
  4. 2026 R2 pricing, range & specs! $57,990 Performance Launch Edition / $53,990 Premium / $48,490 Standard / $45,000 Standard (Smaller Battery)

Do I think a human in a driver’s seat also needs to avoid accidents from another car on FSD? Yes they do. I agree with you.
  5. 2026 R2 pricing, range & specs! $57,990 Performance Launch Edition / $53,990 Premium / $48,490 Standard / $45,000 Standard (Smaller Battery)

Again, from inside the cabin, it seems fine. When you are on the road next to one, it’s not. Another example. 2 weeks ago, a neighbor was having their new Y pull into their driveway. It pulled in. It’s at the end of a cul de sac. The Y did not see me or kids on the street and as it adjusted to...
  6. 2026 R2 pricing, range & specs! $57,990 Performance Launch Edition / $53,990 Premium / $48,490 Standard / $45,000 Standard (Smaller Battery)

The issue with FSD is that, while it is nice for the driver, it drives everyone around them nuts. Eg it takes up way too much space because it leaves a silly amount of space in front. So instead of 1 car taking 2 car lengths, 1 car takes 4-5 car lengths. Which means you fit less cars on the road...
  7. 2026 R2 pricing, range & specs! $57,990 Performance Launch Edition / $53,990 Premium / $48,490 Standard / $45,000 Standard (Smaller Battery)

Just to be a contrarian, I’m going full dotal. All you antidotals can pound sand!
  8. 2026 R2 pricing, range & specs! $57,990 Performance Launch Edition / $53,990 Premium / $48,490 Standard / $45,000 Standard (Smaller Battery)

I’ll believe it when I see R2s being used for something different than a Y lol.
  9. 2026 R2 pricing, range & specs! $57,990 Performance Launch Edition / $53,990 Premium / $48,490 Standard / $45,000 Standard (Smaller Battery)

Not when you can get a Model Y for $48k. $7k difference is a lot. And Tesla has the (misleading) impression that there autonomy capability.
  10. 2026 R2 pricing, range & specs! $57,990 Performance Launch Edition / $53,990 Premium / $48,490 Standard / $45,000 Standard (Smaller Battery)

I do think they will have the ability to manufacture. But, at $55k+ out the door, I do not think there is much of a market.
  11. 2026 R2 pricing, range & specs! $57,990 Performance Launch Edition / $53,990 Premium / $48,490 Standard / $45,000 Standard (Smaller Battery)

Ugh. That pricing means 2026 deliveries will likely be sub 20k, missing expectations.
  12. A good time to own an EV - Gas Prices about to go nuts [LOCKED DUE TO POLITICS]

To ā€œsuffer the foolsā€ does not mean what you think it means. 😊
  13. Upgrade from 50 to 60 amp circuit to get to 48 amps of charging? Have 2 EVs.

Yes. Too many times we pinch a penny today and have to spend a dollar not too far down the road.
  14. Upgrade from 50 to 60 amp circuit to get to 48 amps of charging? Have 2 EVs.

IIRC, with 50amps, your charger will be running at 40A x 240 = 9.6kW. With 60amps, your charger will run at 48A x 240 = 11.5kW That’s a significant difference and probably is worth an extra $600 to me.
  15. A good time to own an EV - Gas Prices about to go nuts [LOCKED DUE TO POLITICS]

Right? Shows how people really feel…. I’ve driven an EV longer than most on this forum. And I’ve had a solar powered EV longer than most on this forum. I also still have ICE cars. I can tell you that even if you pay 0.05 or 0.10 for electricity, EVs are not always cheaper to own. Especially...
  16. Subaru Dies Before My Number Comes Up in the R2 Queue

I’ll be honest, you will lose a ton if you purchase or lease another car for just a few months or a year. You can rent a car for $800/mo. Or you can Uber. Once you know your place in the R2 line, you can figure out what makes sense. Who knows, in the end, the Subaru may be a bit terrible fix.
  17. Subaru Dies Before My Number Comes Up in the R2 Queue

What’s extremely costly? you can price out the cost for an R1. Get the cost to fix the Subaru. And if you are false choicing between the two, compare the costs and pick the lower one.
