  1. Residual value is too high but want to buy

Any agreement can be modified. I’ve had good luck in such situations. But haven’t tried with Chase/Rivian.
  2. Up to 10k interest deduction on personal auto loans in tax code.

Ummm no. Wealthy people have savvy ways to reduce income, thus opening up tax credits and reducing tax burden. If you are “wealthy” and are not doing this, you are giving away your $$$.
  3. "I would never want to be stuck waiting for an EV to charge"

I had a diesel car once. It never ceased to amaze me how far you could go on a gallon.
  4. "I would never want to be stuck waiting for an EV to charge"

Oh man. It’s been a while for me. Even out 2016 Pilot will go about 450 a tank. I guess tank sizes maybe are shrinking as mpgs go up.
  5. "I would never want to be stuck waiting for an EV to charge"

Where did I assume this? Lol. I was clearly discussing my experience. I’d recommend a little yoga or something. Channel away all that anger! You’ll be healthier for it.
  6. "I would never want to be stuck waiting for an EV to charge"

This is a little cherry picked. I’ve spent many more times waiting to charge or charging than waiting for gas or filling up. I can’t even remember a time in years where I had to wait more than 3 minutes before getting to the pump and more than 6-7 minutes overall filling up.
  7. "I would never want to be stuck waiting for an EV to charge"

What car do they have that doesn’t get 450mi per tank?
  8. RJ Selling Rivian Stock

    Planned in advance. Non story.
  9. Am I the only one who thinks anything less than 400mi of range is legacy at this point?

lol getting 90 minutes more sleep is kinda important. I don’t get to my destination in good time to sit in a hotel room. Who does that? I get there to do the stuff I want to do at the destination. 🤷‍♂️
  10. Am I the only one who thinks anything less than 400mi of range is legacy at this point?

It’s a 100kwHr battery. It’s on par with Rivian options. Folks here have consistently seen 800V systems have much better charging curves than Rivian’s. It’s a main complaint.
  11. Am I the only one who thinks anything less than 400mi of range is legacy at this point?

Not sure where you are getting that. I can consistently add 60kwhr at 250+ kw/hr with an 800V car. It holds a curve really well. So it’s about 23 minutes to go from 20-80%, assuming you are at a legit 800V station. That’s more than a 3 minute savings.
  12. Am I the only one who thinks anything less than 400mi of range is legacy at this point?

I think that is right, for you and me who are educated customers. But….as much as I think teslas feel like cheap cars, people look at their tech as way advanced and the pinnacle of EV tech. That’s the average customer. So, if you are looking to grab them, you have a problem. If Rivian is...
  13. Am I the only one who thinks anything less than 400mi of range is legacy at this point?

That’s been my point about the R2. It’s not competitively priced. I guess they are hoping there is enough pent up demand for a Rivian that people will pay $20k more than for a Tesla. 🤷‍♂️
  14. R2 buyers - will you wait for gen 3 hardware (including LiDAR)?

I disagree. With the R1, Rivian didn’t say that a more capable Gen 2 was going to happen later that year. They are with the R2. While I generally agree that if you are waiting for better tech, you are always waiting, I also don’t think buying something the manufacturer is telling you will be...
  15. Rivian R2 place in line

I love driving my truck, especially off-road or country roads. But I do want autonomous features on this car. Especially if you plan on keeping it for 5-7 years, which puts you at 2033, when lack of autonomous features will stand out more. I may be in the minority though.
  16. Rivian R2 place in line

Same here. I’m waiting. Look at all the Gen 1 R1 owners on here. I can’t end up with a car that has limited features compared to one the company already said they will launch the same year.
  17. Rivian R2 place in line

Are folks not waiting a few months for the Gen 3 autonomy hardware?
  18. 2026 R2 pricing, range & specs! $57,990 Performance Launch Edition / $53,990 Premium / $48,490 Standard / $45,000 Standard (Smaller Battery)

It’s just cheaper to ship them that way and do a software lock. Less production lines!
  19. 2026 R2 pricing, range & specs! $57,990 Performance Launch Edition / $53,990 Premium / $48,490 Standard / $45,000 Standard (Smaller Battery)

I am at the forefront of progress. All in, trust me. I think your logic is what did not wait for you…lol
