The two gates I've tried to add have either learned the opener but failed to actually open the gate or failed to even learn from a working remote. Anyone else had the same issues?
Every vehicle has an airbag, so not sure how it’s any different in a R1. The grab handle that’s above is quite awkward for someone to use to get in or out, though, compared to one on the A pillar. I cringe when heavier people use it it in mine. Definitely won’t hold up to those forces for all...
So i attempted something that was on the edge of possibility last weekend with a backup ICE truck to take over if it wasn’t going to work. I live in Tallahassee and went to Pensacola to watch the Blue Angels, the only charger between is in Chipley, FL.
The first leg was definitely doable at 84...
I actually have a titan brakerite electric over hydraulic system that I had on my last boat trailer, but I stuck a surge actuator back on it and kept it. I do have disc Brakes now.
it’ll just come down to your speed on how tight that will be. That’s very similar to my setup, so it should work. I was getting about .87 miles per kWh at 70 mph, and you’d get 107 miles out of 124 usable kWh, so you’d make it but a head wind and rain would make it very very tight.
What boats are you guys towing with your Rivians?
I’ve got a 2017 Scout 251XS bay boat I’ve now towed around a little with the R1T.
Running at 70 mph I was getting .87 m/kWh, but at 60 mph more like 1 m/kWh. Tows like a dream, but surge brakes on a boat trailer mean you can’t adjust the gain...
I wondered if I was the only one with these issues, but I guess I’m not. Makes me think it’s either a software bug or hardware that just doesn’t work.
interesting, our 2008 Tesla Roadster (SN 126) would light the brake lights up under regen, so that's weird that they would have taken that off on the S initially.
yeah, simple fix is that your phone can’t unlock it if it was in the car when you locked it. Hopefully they’ll fix that quickly in a future OTA update.
If you can drive another that would definitely tell you, but in driving mine, I definitely have not felt anything remotely close to what you’ve described, so I’d guess something is wrong somewhere. You’re right that it must calculate the torque differences with steering angle because i never...
Mine tracks perfectly straight, so that does suggest some sort of motor issue on left front motor. Can you feel it as you lean into the throttle? I suppose this is an issue unique to having separate motors for each side instead of a diff.
my suspension is squeeky, too. since it's an air suspension, does it have some sort of lubrication on the shaft that's maybe under applied or not applied at all?
i've got some weird some noises coming from the defrost vent motor on the windshield and sometimes it seems to blow cold air on the...
I don't think floor it in rock crawl mode is actually all that much throttle in any other mode. speed is limited to 20 mph i think. I guess i'll have to play around with mine and see. actually haven't put it in rock crawl mode yet to even experience that different throttle map.
