Nice work!
I'm torn, because I rarely open up that space because we have soccer balls, strollers and all sorts of other things on the top section and it's a hassle to access below. That being said, that wouldn't be a bad option under the frunk or even in the back.
Screw it I'm in for 2 :CWL:
I highly doubt regulators will yield multiple results based on an optional safety feature. Similarly, manufacturers are unlikely to favor implementing something easily removable or optional.
My experience in manufacturing and product development within the outdoor power equipment industry...
I have the fridge/freezer from this thread: https://www.rivianforums.com/forum/threads/ideal-electric-cooler-model-and-placement-installed-in-r1s-spare-wheel-storage-space.18957/
Fits perfect and does what I need, but typical usage is only for a few hours at a time. I have had it run for a few...
I'd take a set as well!
While I don't need it for leveling the floor, I feel like it would be helpful to help ventilate the fridge I have in the spare tire space, so completely unrelated to what you intended it for lol.
I've had my equal share of frustrations with lukewarm temperatures and actually had a service visit scheduled for the 17th which I cancelled after this last update.
For me, just a few minutes with it set to Auto at 74 and it seems to finally act like it should. I was setting to HI before and...
I think the challenge is range really only matters when you go on a road trip unless you are super focused on mi/kWh on every little errand.
For most Americans that is likely <5% of their annual driving (total WAG).
On top of that, the poor range estimates tend to impact those in colder...
What you want is newer battery tech that allows for charging to 100% without any negative impact on the cells. I believe this is coming, but I don't follow it all that closely. No thought needed when charging, no additional cost and weight in the vehicle for such a large buffer.
Otherwise you...
There is no chance any manufacturer is going to willingly reduce the max range they can market to be more realistic.
Whether in regards to battery degradation, weather, all highway driving, etc.
Would be nice, but there are way too many variables and I don't see anyone reducing their...
I'm going to be testing with my anemometer to get air flow as well as temperature. Hopefully get some good data to show how little heat is actually coming out.
Would be interesting to pass around and have a few other owners that are happy with their performance do the same tests and see where...
I believe the reverse should be better with the next update!

Can't help you with the feet vents as I rarely have mine on. I have heat issues in general where I...
You are welcome to come sit in my car and try it out to prove me wrong (you won’t)
12k miles like this, and I’m not the only one that is having this issue as shown in the threads that I referenced and many others with a quick search.
learned to deal with it, just a poor implementation that I...
Very interesting thanks for sharing @ridgetopview
It's never changed for me. It was outside for ~36hrs in 20 degree weather and it still had to be 72 to give heat.
I'm beginning to wonder if there is something wrong with the sensor for mine because I can set it to 80 degrees and auto, I will...
I still don't understand how you are not receiving cold air blowing through the vents when it is set at 69 degrees (regardless of preheating, using auto, or setting fan manually).
There are many threads on the HVAC system and that somewhere between 71-73 is the point where people have to set to...
But how? 69 degrees will blow AC when on auto unless I'm missing something?
I have to set to 72 or above to get it to switch to heat.
Glad to hear the trip went well!
I was pretty close to getting the X-Ice for my 22's but ended up getting some 20's and installing 275/60/20 X-Ice(My Experience) since I have ~7/32" on my 22's with 11,250 miles
Can you elaborate on the ride change as you are still on the 22's?
Ride is night and day difference for me but I...
Highly recommend the X-Ice to others as well! Rides like butter compared to the 22's.
@CardiacR1S how is the ride vs your 21's?
For those that want a more OEM look for the wheel and confidence in the load rating and/or don't want hubcentric rings (both of which have been stated as concerns by...
I've contemplated the Badlands jack as well as their Pittsburgh since it's significantly cheaper and I don't need the "offroad" capability. I kept getting hung up on the no jack stand part or having to have a lot more tools so this was my cheapo method that I felt was also safest and overall I'm...
