This is according to Ford financial report for the first half of the year. That is a remarkable number in such short period of time. Also, 3/4 of reservation holders are apparently new to the brand.
Yes, of course, that is understandable. My context might be a bit different, particularly with some recent large purchase endeavors we got into and backed out due to unethical practices.
Although my statement reads like a blanket harsh statement, it wasn't meant to be.
Range is always an issue with EVs. Eventually it will be solved. Range is an issue with petrol vehicles too though. How many jerrycans can you possibly cary, 2, 3 or 4? That’s at most 4 gallons. That does not provide a major comfort for those who actually travel to remote locations for really...
Yes, I certainly agree. There are math and conceptual errors in his thesis, but in the end those errors don't change the overall functional result.
We are in the infancy of electric vehicles, there is much room to grow. I don't think in 7-10 years the EVs will operate the same way they do...
That is the look I am imagining of my R1T :)
Carrying the awning (a 270 deg one) with the rails on the truck bed, then switching to the top when we need to use it. That way, it will still fit into the garage :)
By mistake, you quoted me saying I ordered a Raptor, I did not, that was @TessP100D .
Raptor is a wonderful vehicle, several of its elements and functionality appear to be better than Rivian, but it is a dinosaur at the end. The petroleum engine, the mechanical drivetrain, it’s suspension, etc...
You are correct. I would not put the issue into the "concern" category :) however, I am trying to understanding how things work since I am totally green on EVs.
As you correctly interpreted, with traditional mechanical drivetrains, a transfer case using low-range gearing is invaluable off-road...
Hello All,
I am not sure if this belongs in this thread group, but I though I should try.
As I understand, there isn’t a transfer case as in a traditional off-road vehicle. Without a transfer case, how would Rivian provide proper torque multiplication, or do they?
Thank you.
I haven't been in this as long as some of you have, so my perspective may be more optimistic.
Every company is experiencing the same issue, particularly Ford, Jeep, RAM, etc. The delay mentioned by the letter is far less than other companies.
Additionally, this is a brand new vehicle from the...
I wish to say hello to the community; hello!
I finally put my deposit in, very excited about the prospects and possibilities for and with Rivian. Now I will start to learn more about it through these forums.
Cheers,
