+1 to finding a couple local companies and get 2-3 quotes. Ask the same questions to each one and see what they say. Then follow up with them a day or two later with more questions that you think of. The honest ones that care about you as a customer will take the time to explain everything...
I'm in the same boat about a week behind you. I notarized the Power of Attorney 4 weeks after delivery. 4 weeks later they tell me they had tried to renew my expired registration from my trade in, so they were essentially starting all over again. Last week my guide said it was "processing"...
Someone in a Launch Green R1T just saw me at the Ankeny charger, but I was on the phone so I couldn't get out to say hi. I also saw a Compass Yellow this morning in Des Moines.
I think there's at least 10 of us around Des Moines. I've seen 2 red, 2 blue, 2 white, 1 El Cap, 1 Black, 1 yellow...
This is exactly what's happening. I thought about trying to plug those holes, but the openings for the tailgate hinges are much bigger and probably contribute most of it.
I haven't seen too many mentions about driving on gravel roads, so I want to see who else is experiencing these issues. I saw @jjswan33 mention it in another thread, so hopefully he can comment.
I have 20" All Terrain tires, so the truck is fantastic on my gravel road. I actually can't wait...
Haven't seen any installs in a barn, so here's one. I had a Tesla Wall Connector hooked up, so I just removed that and installed the Rivian Wall Charger on the same wiring. Fairly simple!
Ditto on the comment that I wish it would stop blinking! Come on @Rivian, just have it turn the light...
On another note, we should have a gathering around Des Moines soon. I'll be going to the Ames EcoFair in October. Anyone know of any other good events around the metro that would be good to meet up for?
A few updates from the past couple of weeks that might interest people.
Took some pics of Putco scanning the bed - that was pretty cool! Saw the 2nd red R1T in Ankeny last week. And saw the ISU solar car and then drove my Rivian through the crowded street at the state fair to many oogles and...
Yes, mine should be covered completely under insurance. Just waiting on Rivian Insurance/Nationwide to reimburse me now. Not sure why the Rivian service center can't bill the Rivian insurance directly, but apparently they can't.
It was $1,800 for the KC service center to do it. I've never...
Just caught a rock in mine yesterday. While driving around town, nothing on the 1,500 mile road trip I just did, of course. I figured having Rivian insurance would make things easy, but having to call Nationwide, then go through Safelite was super annoying.
I'm 3 hours from Kansas City, so...
The Senate passed it, but not the House. Check the last sentence: " The bill now heads to the House for consideration. "
...edit - @travbz814 beat me to it
