I'm coming up on my R1T's 4 month milestone and I've already driven over 12,000 miles thanks to a couple of road trips and a sales job. I average about 5 miles/day on gravel, so I'm really testing the truck's durability, but so far it still feels like new.
Anyone else have high mileage on theirs?
I just heard this yesterday after I went through a car wash and happened to have the radio off. Hope it's all draining out! I'm going to ask the mobile tech about it today.
@NooterIA - I'm guessing the mobile tech called you this morning? Same for @LeDiable and I.
Not sure why I'm getting scheduled for 8am if the tech has to drive 3+ hours first. So I called the Service center and let them know how disappointed I am, and that they need to fix it.
I also had 2...
Mine is scheduled for 8-9am at my office - 1 Source Solar, 3020 SW Oralabor Rd., Ankeny.
I say everyone that is nearby show up that morning and we can have the Tech do a bunch. If you haven't made an appointment yet, call Rivian Service and tell them to do it on 10/18 at that address.
@LeDiable also have our recall visits scheduled for that day in Ankeny. We should just all meet somewhere and have the Tech knock everyone out quick. Then maybe they can do our other checks if they don't have drive time all day.
Just a heads up, I was rotating my tires yesterday and found the underbody panels were missing multiple bolts! I see 6 at the back and 2 in the front. Might want to check yours if you haven't already. I put in service tickets for each, so hopefully they come out for repair soon!
This is exactly what I'm doing now. Keeping the tonneau open while on the gravel keeps the bed basically clean. So unless I have something in the bed, I generally keep the cover open at all times now.
Nice! This looks like exactly how the R1T is supposed to be parked and charged. If only you could have gotten a mountain peak in the background somewhere, you could be on the website.
It was good! Lots of people walking around and loving the Rivians. I took @LeDiable with me and we did some tailgating. Between the 2 of us, we were answering questions the entire time. We also met @trmaier there, so good to see another one.
Something I noticed - I've been around EV's so...
I was very polite and the nice lady let me go without having the old plates. The county said there was another penalty fee on it that they were confused about, so they called the state and I waited 15 minutes, but they came back and said I was good to go.
I asked about the higher price and she...
Yikes. My registration showed up in the mail today ... and it's interesting.
First, they registered my truck with the plates from my trade-in, but those plates expired in May. So they had to pay the $143 late fee. But I want to keep those plates (hence why I didn't renew myself), so we'll...
This is awesome. Definitely doing this. Pretty annoyed that Rivian let this cover get through design all the way to production while still needing a separate tool to use.
@LeDiable might like it.
We do EV chargers at 1 Source Solar in Ankeny. We're certified to do Tesla Wall Connectors and have done a bunch of EV chargers in the past couple of years. Hit me up if you want a quote, I'm happy to help. (Same for anyone that wants a quote on solar ;D )
I did the front clip, so front face, hood, fenders. I went to Rudi at Protective Solutions in Urbandale. He's done a bunch of Tesla's and everyone recommended him.
