In all exterior color choices, interior would be CC. Never been a fan of dark interior.
Rivian really needs to offer Canyon Red, Compass Yellow in addition to the bland colors.
1) Canyon Red (not offered)
2) Boreallis (in few months)
3) Compass Yellow (not offered)
All other colors are meh...
Just yesterday, I filled the tank on one of my vehicles. Last month, I paid $6.59/gal, and yesterday was $5.19/gal in SoCal.
That;s a price down by $1.40/galor or roughly 21% in 3 weeks.
At this rate, CA gas will be back in the $4/gal range, just like it was before the Iran conflict within...
It is my wife's favorite feature on R1S. I'm told when the day comes to replace it, it must have frunk!
A month ago, we ran into R2 in a Trader Joe's parking lot with the mfg plate, and when the driver showed up, he offered to let us see it up close. The very first words out of my wife as...
On the Taycan, instead of just initiating regen when the accelerator pedal is lifted, they engage regen braking when the brake pedal is engaged. The friction brake is further engaged depending on the brake pedal pressure. In my Artura, PHEV, transmission is used regen and charge the battery...
...but that's their choice, right?
You mean the brakes would wear like their ICE vehicle and that the range drops just like the MPG drops in real life compared to the EPA MPG because they are dashing and stomping on their brakes?
I believe its a matter of choice, and I also concur that if one...
Most folks on this forum loves OPD - I do not. If you search OPD here, you'll find ton of comments about it.
It's too bad that Rivian does not implement variable regen braking like may do. While feathering the throttle pedal can control the braking degree, along with the 3 settings provided...
Not having AM/FM, I suppose, is a big deal. We all grew up with these services OTA.
As I was reading this thread, wondered if its an issue of what we are used to and now having to change how we get the same information.
1) In all of my vehicles, I haven't used radio at all. In fact, I don't...
isn't what this is?
https://rivian.com/configurations/builder/r2
The wording may be what's confusing more than anything. Rivian is letting the reservation holders convert to purchases from the Launch Edition configuration with simple small option list and color choice. They have priority...
This is why I'd asked the OP what VIN series he'v vehicle is. It is still under 1,000 so Rivian has. clearly have not made a significant amount of R2. The production numbers today probably is higher than 1K so they are building them quickly.
I'm sure Rivian is shipping out every vehicle...
Congrats, that was you hanging over the balcony ??? :D
What is your VIN range? Is it in the thousands yet?
Neema will do a great job on the PPF and the ceramic coat, he did my Artura last September.
I realize this is an old thread and the OP probably has already bought whatever choice tire.
It is my understanding that this tire is what R2 comes with but in R1's 22" size.

This sounds good on the surface but need to really look at what that means in the context of your after tax implications.
I have done exactly as what you've suggested but with 0% interest auto loan. No brainer on this one.
With higher auto loan rate or money factor, the investment side need...
And that the battery technology is on the cusp of huge energy density change. There are at least two solid state battery companies scaling up for high volume production (QuantumScape - backed by VWG, and Factorial - backed by MB). Chinese CATL is pretty much there.
If I were interested in R2...
Here is another comprehensive review from Autopian

Oh, so that's what it looks like when clear. Nice. The weather was not great but my wife had never been in a sleet. She didn't know what sleet was. She's born and raised in SoCal...
Thanks for the info.
The L2 charging was all free. Stayed at Home2 Suites (Hilton) and they had 4 L2 Tesla Universal chargers at Woodland, and one each of NACS and J1772 at Bend Home2 Suites. If you've never stayed at one of these, its all simple, clean and a nice place to sleep with breakfast...

R2 is a good choice. Only vehicle is a no.
Any new vehicle, first of its kind, is almost certain to have multiple issues. If you are buying the R2 in mid to late 2027, it probably would be okay, but not an early build.
At least, keep the Outback for awhile and see how It goes.
