Good to know and interesting, thank you.
I had no issue with my 2018 Model S for 3 years maybe I got lucky, clearly not the case w the R1T:mad:
We are on our 2nd M3 and equally no issue on that front but by no mean I am saying Tesla is fault free
Good Q and asked the same. This is what I got from mobile guy (top guy, he even did the seatbelt recall at a charger last week when I bumped into him!):
Simply jumping it won't help. The truck would likely have to go in even if I could recharge/replace the low voltage batteries. They'll need to...
Brooklyn. The SC called to confirm when the car got there (so did the tow company, theses guys were solid). Had to pu skid pads under rear wheels to drag onto flatbed. They had 2 more bricked R1Ts to pick up in NJ today by the time they got to me.
SC said it would take a couple fo days to...
Sorry to hear, sadly there is company in misery. Think it is better if unlocked, mine was locked so the tow guy had to use inflatable cushion to squeeze a road through the top of the door fame to open the door...
He told me they were the only company with the Rivian contract in the Tri-state...
Had a couple of instances over the past 6 months of system fault detected/service 12v battery system. It was looked at end of Jan during a service center visit, see below.
Concern:- The owner states he got a Service Battery Immediately message after starting the truck
Cause:- Known firmware...
September 2022 delivery, VIN 11xxx.
Updated software yesterday, no issue. Drove the truck in the afternoon.
This am, truck wouldn't wake up. Bricked. Support says both 12V batteries are dead. 48% charge on the high volt batteries. Tried to charge the 12v via tow hitch panel as per support but...
Have a chime on my R1T I have been wondering about, is that what you are referring to?
Happens shortly I leave the house and happens again few hundreds yards away when coming back. It lowers the music and chime a couple of times in different places
Haven't seen that issue on any other car from many brands, typically reads roughly in line with outside. The Rivian stays at the same temp for a long while ie it doesn't cool down/calibrate. Yesterday it was reading 82f when outside temp was 73, great day in November but def not 80+ ;)
No issue...
Seems to be worse if truck is in the sun. In the garage seems to be ok but, outside typically reads 5-10 too high, the sunnier it gets the worse it gets.
Anyone else has that issue? Have a mobile appointment coming up so will add to the list.
Nice find, it wasn’t on the list Tony gave earlier this week, would be good although similar distance for me than Brooklyn but typically better traffic and much nicer area
Thought I was hearing things…Same issue here, wonder if it is AC related? Or possibly hydraulic tank for suspension? Definitely sounds like a tank with liquid inside moving around.
No direct experience yet, reviews are very good. Also all the Michelin tires I have had on many cars through the years have consistently been excellent. The defender is definitely geared towards trucks vs SUVs, might look at the Pirellis too in the spring.
Either way, would expect efficiency to...
Planning to fit Michelin Defender LTX 275/60 in the spring, 1 inch smaller than 20” OEM wheel height but same than 21s at 33”. Would assume range will be similar than with 21s.
115 weight rating, vs 116 OEM so 40lbs less but not an issue, speed rating lower too 116 vs 130 but again on issue...
Just got my plates today, 1 month after delivery so all good but they are showing combination rather than passenger, believe driven by GVWR of 8538lbs (limit 8500!)
Is it the same for everyone? No real issue besides some rumblings that it would prevent use of NY parkways? Can't imagine it is...
Have same issue, makes noises, car locked in the garage, Drains approx 4%/day (no gear guard at home). 11xxx VIN .35.3 software
Have mobile service coming next week for the recall, will ask
