Hey I got my R1T back from ACAP Films and I think they did a great job and would recommend them. I mostly talked/emailed with a really helpful person named Krystal.
I will note that they wanted to talk me in to an "upgrade". I asked for the $1,500 XPEL front-end version. They offered an...
Sorry, this got longer than I expected...
I had a really minor thing (burglar broke one window, cracked another, did some incidental damage to the finish on the door and the interior) and it took three months to get fixed. Most of that was waiting for parts. During that time the...
I'm preparing to have PPF added to my R1T. I didn't even know what PPF was until 3 months ago, so I'm very new to this.
The XPEL shop I went to offers the "special" program promoted by Rivian, $1,500 for the front end, not edge-wrapped, not debadged, 8mil thick.
They also offer an upgrade...
Agreed on this. I've had mine for 3 months and have <4,000 miles on it, all city streets and maybe 1,500 miles of highway driving. I found my first stone chip on the front end about a month ago, and a second one yesterday. I'm very new to PPF but will figure out as quickly as possible how to...
"How I Built This" is one of my favorite podcasts, and the newest episode (posted today) features RJ Scaringe.
I haven't listened yet, hopefully it's good!
Yeah, unfortunately (for me) I'd probably like to have something that looks a little nicer if it's available, and don't mind spending a little $$ to get that.
I'm emailing my guide now per @SeaGeo 's suggestion, I'll see what comes out of that.
Yep, my question was mostly whether anyone was familiar with a good pedestal solution. I received my wall-mount charger for home around the time I took delivery of my R1T, and I know that getting additional chargers may be difficult. Mostly, I want to figure out if a pedestal mount is an...
I own a small business and have been planning to install an EV charging station there. Our electrician proposed a Levitron pedestal charger. I'd like to consider installing Rivian chargers instead, but our installation location is not conducive to a wall-mount and will require a pedestal...
Yep. For me, the Subaru light blue was exactly what I *didn't* want, but in some of the first photos I saw of Limestone it looked similar depending on light conditions, so I thought putting the two side-by-side could be helpful to others wondering about the same thing.
I just took delivery of my R1T in Limestone and our vacation-neighbors have a Subaru in their baby-blue color. For those of you wondering how "blue" Limestone is, I thought some photos might be helpful. I'll say that I was *pretty* worried about this, but hung in there with Limestone (instead...
I made a contribution to Mapbox on July 5 and received an email notification today letting me know that "Your change has been reviewed and approved. You will be able to see your changes on the Map within 14 days."
So that sounds promising, I'll see later if it made a difference.
Thanks. I'm experimenting with both. OSM seems to allow users to edit directly, Mapbox allows users to "suggest" revisions and say that they'll reply if the revision is accepted. It'll be interesting to see if either produces results.
I've had my R1T for about a week, and am observing things I'd like to correct in mapping and navigation (e.g. some addresses in my normal travel routines were either incorrect or totally missing). I read in some posts here that the base map is OpenStreetMaps.org and have poked around there a...
