That reminded me of also a video a while ago that Ben Sullins posted that goes into a little more detail including some things to do prevent this.
How to Steal a Tesla and What You Should Do to Protect Yourself
That's very true. However, they typically do their hacking from the safety of their home or a wifi hotspot. It's another for them to go to the actually scene of the crime and have the audacity to actually steal the vehicle in person. Perhaps auto thieves will team up with hackers where a...
Most vehicles are stolen for their parts rather than to be driven. As such, older vehicles are stolen more than newer ones simply because there are more of the older vehicles on the road that need parts. So statistically speaking, newer vehicles and vehicles with lower share of vehicles on...
For ease of reference since there's not much content in the article ...
NORMAL – Rivian will bring another 40 jobs to Normal by the end of the year as it opens its customer engagement center here, the company announced Tuesday.
“We’re thrilled to locate the Customer Engagement Center in...
No worries. Being one of (if not The) larger Rivian forums there's loads of information here that can easily go overlooked.
Information from the video is nothing I haven't heard/read before but it is ... err ... was a good video that encapsulated that information. Glad you were able to see...
@Buck thanks. FYI - new Rivian related videos are being tracked in thread Rivian videos as posted on Rivian Stories or their YouTube channel
Also, looks like Rivian, for some reason, has taken down this video.
Added new Youtube video to bottom of OP:
June 9, 2020 - Rivian Youtube (4:45) - Episode Three: Powering Adventure | Adventurous Forever | Rivian
UPDATE: Looks like Rivian has taken down this video for some reason. If they repost it I'll update the link.
"The former employees say they believe the cuts were related to the stresses of the COVID-19 pandemic, though Rivian says they were performance-based.
“From time to time, it’s important for any performance-focused and fast-growing company to streamline its organization to improve...
Building a world class company/organization undoubtedly not only includes hiring the right people for the job but also to be able to do the job exceedingly well. Not every hire will fit that bill. Not every trip to home plate results in a home-run or for what is expected for the circumstances...
Everything I've read so far has indicated Rivian EAVs can support up to a 160 Kw charger. I know that's only a 5 kW difference but just wondering if there might have been some recent news claiming 165 (maybe other things?) that I hadn't read yet.
Congrats on placing your pre-order.
Unless something has changed and I missed it, Rivian, like Tesla, has no plans on building dealerships. I doubt that will change but at this point we virtually have no info on the purchase process including delivery so our options for taking delivery...
RJ had been thinking about a subscription model for a while now as he talked about this back in August 2018 during an interview with Bloomberg. A little more info can be found in this thread:

Interesting that the Rivian Insurance Agency Data Manager position is in Normal (factory) where as the Program Manger for the Collision Repair Program is in Plymouth (headquarters).
Here's a description of the 3rd job posting in the OP:
Rivian’s Digital Commerce Team is responsible for...
Thanks for posting this @kanundrum. Glad to see Rivian is still taking this pandemic serious while attempting to move forward. :like:
Not to sour on the news, and perhaps this is premature, but is it just me or do others think most of the above would be perfect content to place in an email...
Serial Number: 88801980 - "Providing purchase advisory and consultancy services to consumers for the purchase of land vehicles; retail store services ..."
This looks vaguely intriguing to where I wouldn't mind reading more about it but I'm not having any luck with my internet searches.
Thanks @Coast2Coast, and I agree in general but IMO I don't think we're there .... yet. Posts maybe pushing that boundary some and it's a good reminder to keep posts on topic and respectful. The OP is looking to explore an individual's deciding factor to convert their pre-order to a purchase...
I agree as I was told the same thing last October at the Normal event. In addition ...
Ha, good luck with that. I wish Rivian would document way more than they have done so far. However, playing devils advocate, I suspect at this point in development that by not documenting these things...
The current prototypes do have USB ports near the top and backside of the front seats. However, it's my understanding they are being redesigned (currently a cover flips down 90 degrees protruding directly at rear occupant) but we don't know if that also means moving them to a different location...

Interesting that the original location for the stadium lights was down low in a more traditional location for fog lamps.
Yes, nice job on the renderings.
I'm liking the red and definitely a fan of the burnt orange / rust, though the render here reminds me more of a caramel. However, I'm still hoping for a metallic root beer to be one of the two alternating / seasonal colors I believe minimally somebody found...
