My experience and resolution - I had the 70mph+ shimmy as well when I received my R1T. Rivian took it in to investigate and found one of my 22ā pirellis had a flat spot from the factory, deemed it defective, replaced it⦠shimmy has been gone for 12k miles and two rotations.
Ha! Sorry, slight omission there⦠;) Bill came to just under $500, which was significantly less than an auto body shop. My insurance company has been happy with my decision. Whole process took about 2.5 hours. Very positive experience!
Quick geographical location: Portland, OR
So - got a dent on my R1T tailgate a couple weeks ago by backing into a post in a parking space (yes I ignored all the alarms going off), made me sad. ? Read some horror stories on extravagant pricing to get it repaired, then saw a post on paintless...
Everybody's preference and perspective will be subjective for each vehicle. It's nice to have options. ;)
We took our R1T from Portland, OR to Osoyoos, BC a few weeks ago. It's an annual trip we do, about 900 miles RT (about 9 hours on the road each way). We've used two vehicles on earlier...
Ouch! No issue with the bolts I received, they went in fine and have been on my truck for a few months without issue.
Did the factory bolts come out fine? Wonder if there were any burrs in the threads of the new bolts? Sorry dudeā¦
So, my AC seemed to be one of the ones that didnāt āscreamā like others have posted, but I have to say after the update, for whatever reason, itās now ICE COLD when itās mid-90ās outside⦠it was NOT that way previously. Thatās a welcome change!
I have noticed my steering wheel audio āmuteā was...
I havenāt taken mine apart, but I have absolutely been trying to figure how I could access that unused space, this is great! Iāll be following this for sure! Fantastic!
Owned mine for over seven months, two visits.
1st visit at 1k miles - fix driver seat lumbar support that collapsed on day 2 of ownership during a ālaunchā. Rivian replaced the driver seat. No cost.
2nd visit around 6k miles - brought in for an alignment and steering wheel off-center after...
Huh, I had a rotation done at 5k miles at Discount Tire a while back (first Rivian in), and they didn't mention that option at all. Guess I'l see if I can ask about that when I do my rotation soon at 10k!
Yeah, Iām not sure the āneedā is there yet, the trip north into Canada in a couple weeks will determine that. The cab will be full of me, my wife and three kids, so overflow storage beyond baggage and boating/fishing/etc when we hit grocery/Costco for 10 days at a lake cabin with seven other...
Yeah, itās pretty basic but fits about perfect. I just added a couple cans of Rustoleum Truck Bed Liner to it, not sure it needed it though. Itāll fit the bill for what I need/may need it for, and then decide if I want to go further. Toss it on top of the teenās Mazda 6 when Iām done with it⦠;)
Needed a little āoverflow spaceā for an upcoming trip, wasnāt looking to break the bank for a cargo rack as Iām still kind of waiting to see how Iāll be using this truck (had it for seven months now).
Was researching overland boxes, etc, then racks. Came across the MaxxHaul 70115 on Amazonā¦...
I agree. Comparing to our ā22 Kia Niro EV, the last few months of HVAC changes make it more consistent than that vehicle. However, the lane keeping assist (not driver+) on the Kia vastly dominates my R1T, so far
I just had this issue yesterday⦠main screen locked upon a short drive and wouldnāt allow me to pull up HVAC, drive settings, etc. Went to do a soft reset (which Iāve had to do only a couple times in six months) and it wouldnāt take. After I parked I tapped the main screen again and all worked...
Just got my R1T back from service after an alignment TODAY⦠Steering wheel now straight and center, no slight pull to the right. They also replaced one of my 22ā Pirellis due to a āflat spotā that caused shaking around 70+ mph that they initially thought might be drive shafts⦠bad tire from the...
I fretted over this decision for about six weeks back when the PTC was discontinued, and my number came up for my R1T. The fretting was agonizing⦠but the draw for the new vehicle won out and I placed my order and got it on Jan 6, 2023, no tonneau cover included. What I discovered after the...
Well - went through the last few meesages on this thread, and perhaps it's just high to ME, as the Rivian is the most premium vehicle I have owned, but seems on par with some othe posts above.
I'm at $1862 12-months ($931 6-months) at 100k/300k coverage, $500/$500 deductables. Lots of...
