In our case this applies to leases, but we've used a broker for the last few and it was amazing. Not only did we get a preset deal (that was stellar), but almost no dealer engagement. For the last two rides, maybe 10 minutes of dealer communication (via email) combined. The one dealer that...
FWIW, quite a few folks on the iX forum are very interested in the EX60, possibly even over an iX3. Same ruminations with the P12 not being available in the short-er term.
The other main group is waiting on the iX5 :) Holy smokes, same battery/motor tech, and purportedly coming with a 147kW...
Oh yeah, if the RV is low, but that's really my point: as leases go, that's not great, regardless of what's driving the price (RV and/or MF). The math-is-the-math, but I generally don't do leases over the 1% rule :)
If that lease headline of "from" is read as $599 for the lowest price config (which is ~$60K, Plus, RWD, no options) and we factor in the $6409 down, that's an effective $777/month (pretax) for a $60K retail vehicle. Yikes, I guess the new hotness will settle down, but you should be able to get...
I got an action alert too! It was actually a prompt for uploading existing lease docs.
(FWIW, my reservation was March 7 2024)
I'm actually kind of curious, maybe I'll upload the Jeep lease!
Yeah, my EX60 prices out to about the same as my iX3x50, right at about $70K. Pretty comparable vehicles.
WOTS is the M60 version of the iX3 will start at around $75K, have more standard (so less total option costs vs. a fully loaded x50), but have some that would bump it to close to $80K, so...
Same.
5-6 years ago when we got our L2 circuit installed, I went with a simpler N6-50. Had an L2 and a modular mobile that would work directly.
Years later I wound up switching over to my BMW "portable" charger, it's modular, but no N6-50 option, so I just used an N14-50-to-N6-50 adapter...
Well, I've had about 20 rides in the last 24-25 years or so which ones are you speaking of? The Tesla? The car I was the most thrilled to return across my long history of vehicle ownership? :D
I mean, I have an R2 and a Scout on reserve, so we're at least in the same ballpark in that capacity...
So you're cross-shopping against a vehicle you already own, a massive POS failure, and what might wind up being a killer EV option (Scout, assuming you mean the Traveler model) but won't be in production till very late '27 at best case, an realistically more like '28, if ever.
The rest of the...
Yeah, that's the Landcruiser I'd buy (so to speak) if I was in the market. Extremely nice F&F and execution. And Lexus was some of the best service experiences I ever had (with my GS300 back in the day).
The new Supra really grew on me too, yes, BMW, blahblahblah :D, but not a bad way for...
Kind of a adjacent to the discussion, but this is a cool option that Scout offers, satellite connectivity via a big roof mounted antenna (that also adds roof storage and a lightbar)
Yeah, I really do love the CC interior, you know, years ago, if someone suggested a light/white interior, I would've laughed at them, but now, after having it a few times, I kind of love it.
I mean, I would also consider any non-black, though I'd would think about black with a different...
The same, but different :D
I think what we're finally getting in the EV space is a lot of unique experience between vehicles that on the surface are quite alike, but when you consider the execution details, they're notably different.
It was just a few years ago we just had "electric cars"...
Yep, the 20" tire will have about a 0.5" thicker/taller sidewall.
It's the old, down an inch on the wheel, up and inch on the tire height (which is ~0.51" x 2 = 1")
255/55-21 = 140mm / ~5.51" sidewall
255/60-20 = 153mm / ~6.02" sidewall
A lot of folks have this, I do, instead of fighting it, I just lean into it and enjoy. Though the very specialized, umm, "service industry" that caters to this is painfully expensive ... 😵
@macb00kemdanno
Well said, and not because it's "pro / con" one brand or another, but because it's a realistic, balanced take on the discussion.
Hell, just to pivot the other direction, I'll toss out a completely subjective, don't-ask-me-why hot take on another vehicle that's been part of...
