I had this on mine and they fixed it at the service center. It had to be done at the service center because the door is too heavy for a mobile tech to do it in your garage. They fixed the paint chip too and it looks like it never happened. I know it sounds bad and you're seeing the paint damage...
Feel free to ask what questions you have. I don't think I've seen a "use the search button, noob" response in a while. What I do see sometimes is that people know they've answered the question in a thread somewhere else and will share the link to the thread. For example, the "which charger?"...
Good call, I've been there.
As for advice... I don't know you, but I've seen you post a lot over the years with evidence of your life and use case. I agree that the gravity doesn't strike me as fitting with the image that your postings over the years have built in my mind. You're right in...
Legit happy for you. I dumped USAA in part (out of many reasons) because they say, "glass?, let me forward you to safelite". Meanwhile safelite buys garbage bin glass from meth-heads in new mexico. I had a glass issue in my palisade a couple days before trading it in for the Ioniq 5. They put in...
I just (today) got my (wife's) girl back from doing a bunch at the service center, including windshield glass. Insurance company was Nationwide. Rivian price was ~$1600 for replacement. Nationwide, as a shock, totally came through with a guy who reached out proactively after I started the claim...
For what it’s worth, I’m staring down the barrel of my Hyundai Ioniq 5’s free subscriptions expiring. They broke it into three pieces for $99/year each (or you can pay less per year with multi-year subscriptions):
There might also be a word of warning for those interested in Hyundai/kia...
You know, one of the things that I enjoy telling people about Rivian is that they gave their first two prototypes to Ewen McGregor to take from the southern tip of Argen.... ummm, South America to LA. That's what drove us (my wife) to put in a preorder. Warts and all, on a documentary. Not a...
@SwampNut made a banger of a thread about a 4-tire inflation kit. The same instructions can, much more easily, be applied to making a longer air hose like what you're seeking. This is super easy, have fun!
 that's a good news story, thank you for sharing.
Ich kann kein Französisch lesen, weil ich Deutscher bin, aber irgendwann wird jeder Deutscher sein, also ist das kein Problem.
I just took my (wife's) girl in for service. One of the things on the list was a ticking/clicking on acceleration/deceleration. I drove with the tech around the parking lot and he immediately noticed it. Got a call today saying they are replacing halfshafts and hubs. Start a ticket. With lead...
@syzygy I feel you and empathize with your situation. I've never been stranded by my (wife's) girl (unlike my Ioniq 5) and haven't put a noticeable dent in her yet. I can only imagine how I will react when/if those happen.
I wanted to pop back into the thread because to share my experience with...
