Maybe they were going to cancel anyway (i.e. they purchased another vehicle / tired of the wait and constant delays / etc.) and this is their strategy for a better return on investment for the $1k deposit Rivian has had all these years. Plus they got to enjoy it for a little and realize, yes...

I'm not feeling that sweet spot as I'm in eastern PA (Allentown)...April 2019 preorder and my R1S moved into 4th Qtr (from May-June). Maybe I'm 'just a bit too far' from the Brooklyn and Rockville SCs. not the sweet spot here. ?

...I'm holding that 2019 preorder baby! ? ...at least my Model Y I ordered during the March price hike should be here in Sept...so i got that going for me ?‍♂️

I vaguely remember an email with a survey like that....yes, I remember; but that was long long long ago, in a galaxy far far away....when we thought, 'wow, Rivian is special, and really striving to have their sh#t together'. Now it's just farce.

I hear ya....I ordered a Model Y for the wife during the price hike circus (didn't cancel my Rivian order) to hedge my bets (and out of spite)....looking like I may get that (est. Sept) before the R1s. Hard to stay excited with all the delays and issues...but trying. ugh.

Congrats! Seeing a lot of R1S guide contacts posted on the FB groups in the past day including OC interiors....even though fools day, I think the next phase is opening ??

Congrats @SEPA R1T ! Looks great! Enjoy ? Interesting they are delivering out of Rockville center. Being near Allentown, PA I figure mine may come from Brooklyn center. My HQ office is in Rockville,...when the time comes, may have to look into a 'local' pickup...?

I had made a Rivian shirt a while back based on another forum member's idea. This is a perfect tagline @eggpaul for the back of a new shirt design. I love it! Maybe Rivian can add it to their merchandise store, lol.

yeah, ...spool up the R1T/S delay email (# X)...or Rivian can just continue with their MO and let the delivery windows arrive and fly-by without a mention...lol...they have us as a captive buyer.

Huh, take that with a load of salt. Based on their track record, I don't believe anything the CS says...your results may vary...for me it's been a hope and promise. At this point all I'm banking on are direct emails to me from Rivian or communications for me to complete my order.
