I think R2 vs. Jeep Cherokee Hybrid would be a good comparison. They’re similarly sized and both have good off road capabilities. I still have a 2014 Cherokee Trailhawk that I’ve driven down some rough, rocky roads.
Super helpful! Sound exactly what I'm looking for. I'll happily buy yours although I know shipping to AZ won't be cheap. I do have access to a very reasonable corporate shipping rate via a friend if you don't mind boxing it up.
Please reach out whenever you're ready, although since I'm not the...
FYI - What you've described did NOT happen on my Gen 2 Quad updated to 2026.15.30 last night. I just tried it. Walked out to the car in my carport without my phone, watch, key fob, or key card. Vehicle was locked. I pressed the tonneau cover button and it did not open. I did see the tailgate...
Looking for feedback from those who have the Gen 2 Interrobang Gear Tunnel slide. How’s the quality and utility? How do you tie gear down to the edges of the slide? Is there still enough usable height for your gear? Are the power ports on both sides still easily accessible and practical? Does it...
Also, just a quick note about matte PPF. I did it one one my R1S's. I love the look but won't do it again.
That vehicle unfortunately needed some body repair (I have a long thread about that incident and process). Once fixed and paint blended I think 3 panels were gloss and needed PPF again...
It's not tint. It's privacy glass.

privacy glass offers almost no real heat rejection or UV protection. That means your interior still heats up...
Someone on Reddit with an order said there is a $400 nonrefundable deposit when ordering.
Even I get an invitation to order soon I'm holding off until a demo drive. I've been unable to schedule a drive for this weekend when I'm back in town, although I did see a few spots open up for today and...
I personally in full agreement. It's a big miss for me.
In our family, we originally had planned to replace my wife's Gen 1 R1S Quad with an R2 but the lack of a powered frunk (among other reasons) is giving us pause. We use our frunks A LOT. Would definitely miss it being powered. I understand...
And on the Gen 2 Launch Quads Slate Sky and Storm Blue, which would cost $6000 I think, were included at no additional cost. Same with Launch Green. All Terrain package was a free option, too.
I guess some, such as myself, were hoping there would be similarly free options on R2 Launch...
99% percent sure you’re looking at a Dune. Only way to get those wheels in a stock configuration was via the limited run Dune and currently via the Gen 2 Quads

The original plan in our household was for my wife to trade in her Gen 1 Quad R1S for the R2. She historically has preferred a smaller vehicle.
However, she’s leaning towards keeping the R1S. She’s used to the larger vehicle by now. We have used the 3rd row on a few occasions. There are...
I’m on a flight and just watched 2 episodes. Was not expecting Padma Lakshmi to be driven off in a a glacier white R1S in the episode 1 intro, then her to say, “get in those beautiful all electric Rivians” at the end of episode 2.
Cool to see Rivians like this!
Surprised I’m the first to reply...
I don’t think that’s the case at all. Rather I think they made a business decision as a start up that such an option would interfere too much with production costs and need for profitability to make it a viable option.
As an early preorder and Gen 1 owner, I initially planned to wait and...
2 separate loads of green waste following the record breaking Kona low storms in Hawaii last week - including the 4 felled palm trees in my yard.
My weather station recorded a wind speed of 68.7 mph.
