This morning my smart glasses had a fit for a few minutes with their BT connection to the phone (constant drop/connect). So, there may be instability there that could also affect the Rivian. It is dev 1, you have to be pretty stupid to load it on your primary phone, lol.
This is why we chose the Rivian over the others. We got in the Lightning and thought, "Grandpa's truck, nope!" If someone told me that stupid throwback was my dad's 90s F250, I would believe them. And the Chevy is more of a joke. Then the Dodge, that never appeared, but had more old-think...
Your post doesn't add up, so maybe it's a terminology problem. Most commonly, the stupid term "tether" is used to mean using your phone as an internet wifi hotspot. It provides internet to other devices. If you do this, you do NOT need Connect+. The whole point of that is to provide a...
I agree, and believe that plenty of people probably think they "have to" buy a low end R1S or can buy a high end R2. I bet there's some overlap. Also a friend who was sort of wanting an R1S but hated the size now bought an R2.
My longest road trips have been around 1700 miles, and I haven't experienced any of this, and would still take the EV instead of ICE. My ONLY road trip issues have been with EA chargers.
HD radio has a lower bitrate than that. While the newest standards could allow for 148k, I don't think anyone is using it. Most stations are under 100 and the "high end" stations are 120k. Given a similar player, even that should always sound better than FM, which is heavily compressed either...
I love all of the golf comparisons. I have zero clue what size a golf bag is, and can only assume that a club is around waist high length? I don't think I've ever touched a golf bag in my life. Though I assume the mini-golf clubs are actually normal size?
But can you lay in it to drink a...
Yes, I was gonna say and forgot, that 96 months is the new normal for the people who really shouldn't buy an expensive car. It's interesting that the rate was lower for a longer term when I bought the truck, and now the reverse is true. Or maybe just for my own credit situation, dunno.
AI answers for both of the streaming apps in the Rivian...
Iheart:
Short answer: on the free tier you’ll usually hear 1–2 short pre‑roll ads (often 15–30 seconds each, sometimes up to ~60s), and going paid is around 6–7 dollars a month to avoid iHeart‑inserted ads on participating live...
Did you know that even if it were 200 months you can pay it at whatever speed you want, and also have the financial flexibility of a lower payment? When I bought my Rivian I was given a lower interest rate for doing 72 months, so why not? I still paid ahead. When I refinanced it, that company...
No matter what, you're still getting the ads from the FM station itself, which is one of the many reasons why FM is trash. Also everyone seems to be ignoring the fact that there's another radio streamer in the Rivian, and in fact, is the only one I've ever used.
Yeah, it's funny-sad that we can teach an AI to land a rocket on a ship but we can't do this. My stop style is to have a few options in mind, where one is closer (if I gotta pee) and one is the last possible safe charge, and some in between. Then pick by amenities, mood etc.
Yes, all DCFC is...
I read the article, then I watched the video for myself. Electrek is full of shit, as always. The always-anti-Musk people on this forum either didn't bother watching it, or are simply complicit in the lie.
Well, the "great" thing here is that Rivian has never managed to complete any repairs in less than five days, LOL. They did a battery and the toe link in 45 minutes each, otherwise, it's been 5-17 (yes seventeen) days.
And that is definitely also a dead tech. Not opinion, it's being dropped from cars like crazy and XM themselves says their future is being a media streaming company, not a sat tech company.
