I'm starting to rethink my next EV. 800 volt charging systems are looking clearly superior, and should be the future standard. I'm thinking of going for a Kia EV6 GT - its charging speed is pretty awesome!
I've never seen a compact tire that inflates to full size....but if it does, that flexibility will be at the expense of durability.
To me, it is a big deal for anyone who plans to tow or do much off-roading beyond fire roads. Sticking to public roads? You should be fine.
What more could they collect on you that Google, Apple, Amazon, and Facebook don't already know?
We can't even talk about something in our home without the topic showing up in our recommended YouTube video feed.
The R1S is smaller than the R1T. An R1T would actually fit my needs better, but it won't fit in my garage. I also have some concerns about long-term reliability and durability of the powered tonneau cover and tunnel doors.
FYI, you can easily log into your account and change your...
I still have 2 F150 Lightning reservations, along w/ a Cybertruck reservation and a Silverado EV reservation. They're only $100 each, so why not keep my options open?
At this point, my 2 clear favorites for taking delivery are the R1S and a Bronco Badlands. It's a race to see which one will...
I switched from R1T LE to R1S LE just before the delivery timing emails went out in November, but they didn't catch the change in time and gave me a July-Sep window for my R1T. I called to inquire about what it would be for the R1S, and was told it would be the same time window.
I have FSD. Paid $5K for EAP w/ the car purchase, then was offered a "deal" to upgrade to FSD for $2K. At this rate, I don't know if I'll ever get value for what I paid for!
I'm surprised the FTC hasn't filed suit against Tesla for this scam.
I switched from an R1T to an R1S (both LE) right before Rivian sent out their timing email in November, but they communicated a July through September release for the R1T. I called this earlier afternoon to see what my R1S ETA is, and it's unchanged.
The rep who answered the phone is an R1T...
If you're not reserving a Rivian over the potential loss of !$100-200 in interest, perhaps this may be a bigger financial commitment than you're ready for!
It pays to read the first couple of paragraphs in the article:
"The first hurdle the Ram 1500 had to clear was convincing our judges that it deserved consideration. Truck of the Year is only open to all-new or significantly updated trucks and vans. Is a new diesel engine enough warrant...
IMO transparency and clear, regular communication are critical to supporting a sky-high valuation, especially with no material revenue or profitability. I'm cheering for them (and my LE), but my money is on the sidelines until they demonstrate mass production proficiency.
Your Launch Edition R1T delivery window is now July - September 2022.
The problem is that I recently changed my configuration to an R1S. I guess they must have come up w/ order timing at least a couple of weeks ago?
I just switched to an R1S due to long-term concerns about the tonneau cover and gear tunnel doors. It seems like there's a good bit more to potentially go wrong on the truck.
