  1. Please help - debating selling my R1S

This is a funny thing to post AFTER you bought it, but I do get the sentiment about the front end. It’s cutesy, not even remotely aggressive, and isn’t helping to win over any traditional “truck guys” - which, is important to move EV adoption honestly. And this is all after one of the designers...
  2. Dual-Motor Rivian R1T first test drive review: "It’s the Same Picture" (Motortrend)

Agreed. Unless there’s an in-house “enduro” version of the quad motor, it’s going away eventually. I’m also with you on the removing air suspension. I’d buy a much cheaper, standard suspension option. Less parts to break, less cycles on the air compressor. Just simpler and easier to repair.
  3. How low have you run the battery?

Yeah, I guess I meant assuming it does not go into shut down mode. But just getting to Zero percent, even unable to move, won’t kill it. But you want to get it charged AS SOON AS POSSIBLE.
  4. How low have you run the battery?

Getting it 0 percent will not brick then truck. Letting sit COMPLETELY dead for days on end will cause damage. But being at zero, even have to be towed to a charger will not brick the truck.
  5. Observations after 3000 mile road trip over 14 days in my R1T

Lotta negatives here. Any positives? Keeping the truck? Some of this stuff seems like we just need more Infrastructue and time, not a problem of the truck.
  6. Confirmed: Newer production R1 only have a single 12v battery, but...

You actually have, in your possession? I dual motor vehicle? Asking because I didn’t know anyone has actually received a delivery yet.
  7. Rivian executive acknowledges R1S AC noise problem

A little encouragement for you mate - it seems you HAVE gotten their attention. At this point, that’s a win for everyone. You can keep at it, emailing, posting videos wherever you want. Or, try “auto” as someone said here and be patient. As others pointed out, this takes TIME to make a proper...
  8. Brush Bars Grille on R1T spotted at Denver SC

It honestly makes the front head lights look even WORSE. I’m already struggling to accept them…
  9. Top 5 Reasons Switching to a Tesla Dominated NACS Standard is a Colossal Mistake for the Consumer

You’re not going to get all the things you want all the time my friend. Sometimes good is just better than perfect. Getting NACS and supercharger access is good.
  10. Top 5 Reasons Switching to a Tesla Dominated NACS Standard is a Colossal Mistake for the Consumer

The standard is already set. There’s no more “control” to be had after that. Anyone is free to use it. What are you talking about?
  11. Top 5 Reasons Switching to a Tesla Dominated NACS Standard is a Colossal Mistake for the Consumer

Other than trying to get people off Elons case for not being perfect human being like everyone else that hates on him- I should rephrase the point I was trying to make, and that is, ONE STANDARD of plug is absolutely necessary. The output of the plug and the needed protocols can change, and most...
  12. Top 5 Reasons Switching to a Tesla Dominated NACS Standard is a Colossal Mistake for the Consumer

Wow, a lot of you guys here are really missing the point. Tesla, and more so the big boogie Elon does not control the NACS connector standard. It is open for all, can likely be changed by a committee. What Elon does control is the supercharger network. Even if the super charger network wasn’t...
