Yes it very much has the light grey or silver plastic fascia on the bottom of the front and rear bumpers. Those are “black” on the R1 blackout packages. I really hate that those areas on the R2. They gotta be black!
I really wish they would have eliminated the silver trim that the bottom of the front and rear bumpers. The R1's look so much better with the black out package.
Kind of agree here. The whole thing needs rebuilt from the ground up to compete with where the market is going, to lower costs (and cost of ownership) as well reliability (get rid of the air suspension).
It’s really quite beautiful, but I just don’t know if I can buy one until there’s a black wheel and possibly “black out” package. But miss on not having the black accents. But goodness, I love it.
I have been lurking for a Rivian for years, and all I want is a spring suspension for an R1t. Cut the complexity and failure points. Hell, I'd even buy a single motor RWD version as well.
Legit will probably just buy the RWD model for this car anyways for the most range - I will likely never go off road and this will be a people mover and pavement princess.
I see the map showing a yellow diamond south of Pittsburgh, but thats it. How sure are we of a service center in this area? How do I see where it's been actually announced? I live 25 minutes north of that yellow diamond, which does not allow me to click on it or see any information at all.
Would love to see just a single motor RWD variant. Simplify the hell out of this power train, increase range, etc. The complexity of this power train is bonkers to me.
That’s because it’s not a permanent magnet motor, and is an induction motor. Rivian uses a permanent magnet on both axles. Which is a mistake in my opinion.
