  1. Other Location Sold: FS: Adventure High Tech Stow-N-Charge

For sale, one gently used Adventure High Tech Stow-N-Charge. This is the BEST charging solution on the market for a Rivian, in my opinion. Looks great, performs the best for charging, and adds additional storage, too. NOTE: Does NOT include charging pucks. You may supply your own Apple...
  2. Other Location Sold: FS: Smartliner Frunk Mat (R1T or R1S)

For sale, one gently used Smartliner frunk mat. MSRP $89.99 new. I'll sell for $50 including shipping within the continental US. https://www.smartliner-usa.com/products/smartliner-custom-fit-for-2022-2023-rivian-r1t?variant=40293102223469
  3. Show off your Level 2 Home Charger installs here

    On a 50A circuit you’d be limited to 40A charging. Not 42A.
  4. Show off your Level 2 Home Charger installs here

Sounds like they're suggesting taking two 120V circuits that are on different phases and combining them into a single 240V circuit at 15-20A. Derate to 80% for a continuous load and you're capped at 12-16A charging with that setup. That would give you 6-8mph of range gained per hour of...
  5. Navigation / Map updates?

On your phone use Apple Maps (or Google Maps -- your choice) to find whatever address or point of interest you want to go to. Then use the "share page" in the app and choose "Rivian" as the sharing destination. The location (name and GPS coordinates) will be sent over-the-air to your R1...
  6. Navigation / Map updates?

Rivian uses MapBox. Updates occur regularly (at least monthly) but they don't update everything every time. In my area some POIs are updated before construction completes, and other POIs are still in the map despite being closed years ago. It's not consistent. They have a website to make...
  7. Steering Wheel Not Centered

That has been my experience, as well.
  8. Other Location FS: S00nish Premium Phone Charger for R1T and R1S

Dropping price to $115 shipped to your door. These were all the rage and this is a hefty discount from new... Someone has to want a better charging solution than the OEM pad?
  9. Center Screen Screensaver?

I either need the screen and it should be “on” or I don’t and it should be “off”. The only “screen saver” should be the ability to turn it off.
  10. Steering Wheel Not Centered

It’s a sad state we’re in where the SC *not* fully fixing the issue warrants praise.
  11. Gear Tunnel Door Creak AKA Dying Cow

Mine does it too. Of all the issues with my R1T this is probably the one that bothers me the least and I haven't bothered to try to address it. I'm assuming some spray lube will help. Just literally could not have been bothered, yet.
  12. Manual tonneau cover for R1T has arrived!

It really doesn't build any confidence regarding their powered tonneau redesign, does it?
  13. Valet parking a Rivian. Best practices? Which key to give valet?

It's been my experience that valets never explicitly lock vehicles. My Volvo sends push notifications to my phone app if the vehicle is unlocked for 30 minutes, so I just tap to lock the vehicle, remotely. (Funny that you assert other vehicles don't have that.... they do).
  14. R1S Brake Lights Changed Color

It's just a rendering in the instrument panel... It isn't the actual brake lights. I doubt NTSB applies as this isn't a mandated display feature.
  15. Electrify America disaster

The general lesson here is to download apps, in advance, when possible. Every EV owner should have EA, EVGo, Tesla, Shell, and ChargePoint apps with accounts setup! You'll still find circumstances where you have to download a one-off app in the field... But there's no reason not to cover the...
  16. Valet parking a Rivian. Best practices? Which key to give valet?

If I know I'm going to valet, I try to bring the FOB. It supports proximity locking, now, and is the lowest learning curve of all the options. It also can be attached to the "tickets" that most valets use, or hung in their key boxes. I do keep a keycard in my wallet, so that is my backup if I...
  17. Update 2023.22.00 Public Release

Yeah, based on what you've said I would choose the RAN routes, as well. But routing algorithms don't think the same way we do and there are edge cases. It's probable that you've fallen into one. The algorithm is probably scoring routes and they are probably looking at lots of variables, such...
