Ok, do not recommend restricting battery usage. I got two "update failed" notifications last night with obviously no updates attempted. The truck also flashed "driver+ unavailable, service soon" when I went into drive, but that notification quickly went away and won't come back.

This makes sense, it would prevent people accidentally unleashing 800 hp when they hit a hard bump. I could absolutely see Tesla ignoring something like that.

I dunno, it still accelerates just as hard as I would expect, there is just a very short lag before it does.

Tried sport, still has the same lag. It accelerates as hard as the model 3, even in all purpose mode, but the lag is still present. It's very strange

Wonder if it's an iPhone vs Android thing. I'm Android and having issues. Mine is back up to the top user with over 6 hours of active use over the last 24 hours. Obviously I haven't used it for 6 hours, so something is still weird. Going to try to restrict battery usage and see how that goes.

Obviously it's not throttle lag, but from a stop going WOT, I feel like there is a quarter to half second lag before the truck puts down power. I'm not talking a slow ramp up of torque or anything, it goes full out when it decides to go, there is just a small lag between foot down and neck...

Turning location off helped significantly with battery usage, though it still is a lot higher than it should be. My Tesla app was negligible, the Rivian app, with location off, is the 3rd highest usage. I'm not really seeing any difference in app functionality with location off, so I'm not...

Oh man, you weren't kidding. Android here, the Rivian app is about double the battery usage of anything else over the last 24 hours. I really hope they fix this, that makes the app basically unusable. Guess I'll use the fob for now...

I just went through this. They will automatically add it, I mentioned I had disabled veteran plates that don't charge registration, so she had me send some pictures of the plates and registration and is having the team remove it.

Ugh, my model 3 has that defroster issue, it absolutely drives me nuts. I've had to resort to cracking a window in a blizzard just to keep the temperature reasonable. Legit annoys me so much I was looking forward to switching vehicles, bummed to hear it'll be on the Rivian as well.
