I spent two months and at least 10 Amazon delivery boxes last year to collect all items on that list!
This was when the lockdown started ! If only I had more Patience! LOL
There are a lot of positives I noticed with the Configurator updates.
First and most important! I do not think the delays are major.
It can be due to the logistics of onboarding crew for mobile service centers across USA.
It is not easy to set up service centers and deliver automotive product...
Back in 2013 when we got the Jeep Wrangler, the very next day we took the 395 to Bishop and Lake Tahoe and everything in between. Did Tuolume Meadows on the way back. It was a fun couple of weeks. I think I will do that again!
I know. The only implication (not even information) that carries over is that if Rivian has delivered a batch of vehicles to Amazon (Customer), they will deliver R1T and R1S.
The lack of info is maybe just the mode in with Rivian wants to operate. Under promise and over deliver.
I think you are right on the timing of the info dump, there is no other option available anymore.
This week or next, they will release some info and Guides will start reaching out.
Maybe that was their plan all along.
Amazon has started delivery using EV trucks made by Rivian in some areas.

Since Rivian already...
In one of my recent chats with support, the rep implied that we will start seeing details for vehicles as they will start delivery in June. She was sure that who ever got the first delivery will do a complete review and walk through and upload it.
I said it was a wasted opportunity and why...
I am being optimistic as well. But there is a lot of information still missing. and Based on the support chat responses, it seems like a lot of this is not nailed down yet. Its always, we are working on the details and will share more information soon. Its never, yes that is finalized, here it...
All this comparison with Ford F150 and losing customers to F150 is overhyped. The market is big enough for both.
Rivian from Day 1 knew they had to carve out their target audience. So their target audience has always been the Jeep Wrangler/LandRover crowd.
F150's target audience is, well F150...
Taking a different approach while we wait for information being trickled out of Normal. Creating a list of all the info that is “coming soon”
