  1. Software Update 2023.42.0 is out (⚠️ UPDATE: OTA fix rolling out today 11/15/23)

As someone who works in IT, it seems like they probably did QA testing by physically installing the update, then pushed the PROD via OTA. Not good.
  2. Carwash mode locked me out ...

That makes too much sense ?
  3. Rivian's charge limit function doesn't work

It’s been a while, but I think I had to stop it a second time, then it picked up the charge schedule again.
  4. Rivian's charge limit function doesn't work

Only time I’ve had an issue with scheduled charging, is when/if you manually stop a session while it’s in progress. The next time you plug in, it will start charging immediately because it’s trying to finish the previous session, instead of following the schedule. My bigger issue is with the...
  5. Favorite charging stations Victorville, CA to Cedar City, UT?

RAN chargers in Barstow and Las Vegas should be free and operational. Can’t speak for the rest of the way. Hoping to try that route soon.
  6. Update 2023.34.0 -- Improved Handling & Ride Comfort, Phone Call Steering Wheel Functions, Set Speed for ACC / HWA, 25% Better Sleep Range Loss

Tested AP soft & Sport soft. Can definitely notice a difference. A lot softer on road an even noticed that speed bumps were less jarring. Nice improvement ??
  7. 10-Day Airport Parking -- SOC Charge Report With Gear Guard ON

Model 3 doesn’t have air suspension that tries to adjust every time you wake it out of sleep mode by checking on the app. Probably could’ve seen +3/4% by leaving it alone.
  8. Rivian Update 2023.30.00 - One-Touch Garage Door Opener, Nav Enhancements, Text Address Sharing From Phone To Vehicle, EVgo Autocharge+ Support & More

How many “features requested” did your 2021 Ram 1500 Limited or 2020 Kia Telluride SX get updated??? Let me guess…ZERO
  9. Small knocking sound when vehicle starts

I’ve noticed that the air suspension will naturally deflate when parked over time. After starting, the suspension will try to readjust to the selected height. If you have a sloped driveway or ramped exit, the vehicle will continuously correct itself until it gets to a flat ground, then it...
  10. 10-Day Airport Parking -- SOC Charge Report With Gear Guard ON

I did a similar duration test during a vacation to Hawaii back in May. Doors locked and GG off at home. Parked in a secured garage with 70 deg daytime temps. Day 1 SoC 70%. Day 11 SoC 60%. Resisted the urge to check the truck thru the app, keeping it in sleep mode. I was impressed with <1%...
  11. Rivian Update 2023.30.00 - One-Touch Garage Door Opener, Nav Enhancements, Text Address Sharing From Phone To Vehicle, EVgo Autocharge+ Support & More

When parked, you still need to use the center screen to open the garage door. As soon as you press the brake pedal, the garage door prompt will appear in the gauge cluster.
  12. Rivian Update 2023.30.00 - One-Touch Garage Door Opener, Nav Enhancements, Text Address Sharing From Phone To Vehicle, EVgo Autocharge+ Support & More

IMO, AA/CP is a cop out for legacy auto makers. If they took the time and effort to develop their own infotainment systems to a decent level (Ford Sync for example), they wouldn’t need it. Stop using old outdated hardware & software, and modernize. That’s why they’re failing!
  13. $$$$ Georgia Plant Alternative!

That sounds like legacy auto makers mentality to me. The point of being vertically integrated, is to build as much of your own product as possible. That’s why Tesla is beating everyone else. Eliminate the middleman, and get more $ for yourself. Also, by building your own product, you can...

  15. Leaving on trip for 25 days w/ R1S in our driveway

I did a 12 day trip and only lost 11% charge. But that was in a secure garage in SoCal, with gear guard and Paak turned off. Most important thing is keeping the vehicle in sleep mode. If you leave it plugged in, probably set it to charge lower, like 30%. You can initiate a charge remotely...
  16. First long trip in our R1S -- Chicago to Louisville, KY and back. Observations and questions...

To add on…Always set the R1’s navigation destination as the fastcharger on road trips. Preconditioning will auto start when approaching location.
