I’m so glad someone gets it! What’s your Tesla Fanboy membership number? Isn’t Elon rad? He’s going to save the world and that’s so rad.
Geez, this place is actually turning towards the same (low) level of discourse as TMC. I thought you promised more @jebinc ! ? It’s all just discussion...
You got it. I shall now abide by the Rivian forum for all future thinking and consideration. Now that I’ve been thoroughly schooled, I’ll go get my Tesla fanboy hat and sit in the corner.
Well not exactly on battery size and cost. The 4680’s are actually production and, if what Tesla says is true (not Elon, but Tesla), then the battery will offer more energy per pack size as well as being cheaper to produce.
I continue to say it, it’s a fools errand to underestimate Tesla’s R&D...
I absolutely believe the CT will come in under the X. At least some variant of it, but perhaps not at launch. They sell low 10’s of thousands of X and S Models per year. The CT has a factory dedicated to it. Yes I know, dedicated along with the Y, but the factory is under expansion currently and...
From what my Guide told me last week, the manual cover will be released in Q1 in the gear Shop and will fold up and be able to be stowed in the Gear Tunnel.
Also people that had it in the configuration but bought out of the R1 Shop will be able to purchase at old pricing.
Yep, actually more like a year and half for yoke only! And yep, they do what they like, within certain constraints. But going back to my point that they also are not tone deaf to the market and consumers, the yoke is now optional. They do listen and they do adjust. Elon tweeted that a new S...
After I receive my R1T in a couple weeks, I can answer this better. My original thoughts are that the price point is pretty darn high. But a Max Pack with dual motors and really good range is very compelling. But only if the other aspects of the vehicle are equally compelling, which I won't...
Hmmm...I stated we do not know the size. And, per your comment and all relevant facts, we do not. I did not state we are not able to assume the general size. As I noted repeatedly in my posts above, I agree with your sentiment that it will be a more appropriate size for a road-going vehicle...
What I maintain are 2 things.
1. We do not know the size. I maintain this because we do not know.
2. Tesla is not dumb.
With those two items in mind, I'm drawing the following conclusions.
1. It is impossible to gauge size from the latest videos and photos. When allowing for bias to...
While I agree it will be available at more than $65k, Tesla is looking for volume out of the CT. I think that there will be a wide range of pricing and options that will allow them to address the ~$60K market and then up from there. They still have to compete with Ford, GM, and RAM in some...
Ok, well if shifting the context of what many have written in the thread is what we’re doing, you’re right, I don’t understand. I mentioned that the lights would be addressed, and they will. I mentioned that the size will be addressed, and it will. I would wager substantial amounts on both of...
Yes, I’m aware of the status of the truck in this thread. And I’m aware that we do not actually know how close to production it is. And I’m aware that we have no idea if there’s another light that would operate as the third brake light when the gate is down. For example, 911’s have a redundant...
Does anyone really think Tesla will launch a vehicle without a proper third brake light? I mean they go a bit rouge now and then, but not to the tune of something so obvious…it would be a really odd battle to pick For them.
It amazes me how people think Tesla must be full of morons just...
Uhh, everyone realizes that Tesla does sell cars currently and does not live in a world of giant vehicles, right? The CT is supposedly smaller than an F150, which Ford has no issue stuffing in garages nationwide. In fact, currently it's the most stuffed in garages vehicle in the US.
