@Canthoney I agree with you completely on the insane value the R1T offers, hence why I can't wrap my head around how they can sell these EV's for the price they have online.
I've been worried about the impending price hike, but I don't think it'll happen until Rivian can offer up a cheaper...
But remember... The "free money" credits are gonna make this 73k faux-truck a bargain.
I wonder how much those credits Ford lobbied so hard for were factored into the pricing structure for these vehicles?
Seems like Ford priced itself out of their current Ford truck owners driveway with this...
Rivian is offering a rescue service, all I'm gonna ask is how this service will be implemented.
I bought a car from a Land Rover dealer that's 90 miles away from my house, which is basically the nearest dealership with the sole stipulation that they would personally come to me to pick up my car...
Those are all great points, but maybe a bit excessive in your estimate. Again, you're right about those loss points but maybe overstating the drops. Alaska being a possible outlier?
I had my Model S and with the extreme Illinois cold weather and leaving my EV outside for half the time I still...
100% agree with you, all great points. I too had one of the first 90D's and specifically got the 90 over the 85 for range reason and still was in a pinch several times.
I knew (kinda knew) this was gonna be an issue and made multiple orders to somewhat account for this.
I'll sadly downgrade to...
Not really.
While you're sitting they didn't yell out "get up and get on or else we're leaving regardless of when you got here".
Rivian literally told people Max Pack First... But now its Max Pack last.
At no time was there any indication that they'd flip your priority, and more importantly...
You're right... But look at it this way if you want a vehicle and put money down and Rivian keeps delaying your vehicle, but making different vehicles available they are likely going to have people cancel their preorders. Which is an choice I'll give you that.
But telling someone to wait is one...
I never got 275 miles range in my Tesla, despite it saying "275 miles" range.
I did have the 21" wheels though and I was a EV noob.
But what the hell... Getting the Large pack and having 315 miles of range will make driving exciting for me again.
And when I say exciting I mean potentially...
Or a 125 mile one way highway commute to work in the middle of a polar vortex with nothing more then a 110v wall outlet waiting for you to charge your car when and if you do make it to your place of employment.
Max Pack... 2023... Damn it!
Well the 10k I save not getting the Max Pack I could...
Hello this is (BLANK) with Team Rivian! How can I "not answer" any questions for you today?
I kid... But haven't gotten much help from CS... and now my Truck isn't coming till Covid Delta-Oma-Gato-Mega-Cron in Q??? 2023.
2022 here I come!
That's kind of a downer. All that's in the missing two battery pack of the large pack is wiring. I would really hope to keep the storage.
Interesting though... Is that why the under seat storage is part of the frame?
Nope, shouldn't have deleted it.
Should've let it fly!
Well I can't say I didn't see this coming, but I can say I didn't think it would hurt this much.
I had multiple preorders because I knew this would happen.
Now I'm just pissed cause I could've had a LE R1T which would've been better for...
What are the chances of the 2018 Max Pack R1T Pre-Order holders getting moved up the 2022 line if they switch to a Large Adventure Pack R1T?
Slim or none?
Guess I'll have to wait until Rivian "gauges my interest" in January so I can get a R1T before my very pregnant wife becomes a very pissed...
Honestly I have a few preorders and was anticipating delays, but maybe I can crunch some numbers and shit I might even have a charger installed at my work if I can. Dump my R1T when the Max Pack comes down the pipe.
The gas prices are horrendous and vehicle trade in value at an all time high...
My wife will be happy... Less money out the door,I guess, but I just did my taxes and spent 8k on gas and 6k on maintenance (cracked windshield 2k WTF!)
But the range... Ugh...
