For pricing discussion 12V 100Ah batteries from Chinese companies like LiTime can be had on Amazon for about $300. American companies like Battle Born and Astro Lithium range from $600 to $1000. None of these have outlets. These are just with standard battery terminals.
if rivian did something...
Speaking of high quality credit, what if someone with low credit applies and gets denied the ability to lease? Surely they would get their deposit refunded?
My guess is profitability wasn’t the number 1 goal with Alexa. The more entrenched with their products, the more likely you are to use their other services. They probably weren’t intending to lose $10B, that’s a big number even for them, and the future of the economy in tech is less forgiving...
They built two buccee’s in Florida on I-95 in the last few years. Neither of them has a single charging station. That seemed incredibly short sighted to me. As mentioned here, buccees is the perfect destination for chargers on a road trip.
What sort of experience does it take to get an "ideal" curve? I owned a Model S for a couple of years and my supercharging strategy was the same the very first time I used as it was the last time.
Thank you for taking time out of your personal life to answer dozens of questions from strangers about a personal item you own. Unfortunately, not everyone can be pleased.
I’m curious the ratio of us who believe “real” deliveries have started. To date, there seems to be a consensus that all R1T’s delivered have gone to employees, former employees and investors.
So what say you? Do these qualify as real deliveries or just an extended Beta?
Real deliveries won’t begin until after the IPO and everyone has cashed in. Rivian has nothing to gain by putting cars into real customer hands before the IPO. They’ve already established credibility and an approximately $80B valuation.
I don’t consider these employee deliveries to be real...
Enough of the misleading delivery communications from Rivian. They need to tell us an exact date the first member of this forum will receive their truck. Until then… vaporware. ;)
Yeah that sounds good on a brochure and all but in reality it’s very misleading. Pick up a static 40 pound weight. It’s not that difficult. Now try to catch that same weight that has fallen from 12 inches. There is a significant difference in the level of force exerted.
