This is excellent information. I noted this during my delivery inspection (passenger side panel between roof glass and windshield is deformed downwards at the corner by about an inch) and told them I'd revisit it the first time I need service. I have noticed I get a bit of wind noise picking up...
I spent 6 hours driving around with no service this weekend and played Spotify the whole time. Not sure if that's due to the option to download for offline play or what, but it worked flawlessly. I am in the same boat as those who have never used an SD card to store music for a vehicle. I've...
Throwing my opinion on the pyre - The R1T's interior is nicer and either Land Rover I've owned (Velar and Defender). I don't see a bunch of cheap plastic... anywhere? Everyone that gets into my R1T remarks on how nice it is inside. Both the materials and layout are absolutely fantastic and I...
I'd argue that the extra weight makes it more likely you'll stop the skid, not less. More weight == more pressure to the ground == more traction. You're also much less likely to roll if you do suddenly catch traction in a skid due to the lower center of gravity.
I agree with the others - for point 2 the R1T should be safer, not less. 4 motor torque vectoring and stability control plus the weight will help immensely with something like cross-wind pushing you around. The R1T is also surprisingly low-profile for a truck of its size, if you're in the...
Umm, these are cool, but holy eff they are expensive. I cannot possibly stomach the barebones model's price of 1/4th what I paid for my R1T in total. The top level trim is almost 40k!!!
No thanks.
I use Navy Federal, but not everyone can join. There are ways to become a member without being or having been military. I've also used BECU in the past, but found they're not quite as competitive as NFCU is.
You aren't going to get 2% rates anywhere right now. Anyone posting that was doing so...
Talked to a buddy of mine yesterday that is interviewing for a high level position at a new VW Automotive initiative. Their intent is within the next few years to bring all their software development in-house, and they're working on building a vehicle OS that can be made common across their...

If anyone wants to sell a vehicle in Washington, yes, they will be. California isn't far behind and is the biggest consumer market for vehicles in the country.
No, it is not crazy talk. It's...
Two random people showed up today at the Bellevue SC while I was taking delivery there. They also delivered 2 trucks while I was there besides mine.
In each case of the random person coming in, an employee spoke with them for a while. I don't know that they were given a tour of a vehicle - I...
I've finally taken delivery! Had a bit of an issue with my fob - somehow the data for my truck and fob pairing got mangled and the truck no longer recognized the fob. Had a tech there and several back at Normal working on the issue for an hour but didn't get it solved (though did determine it's...
I've done everything from fabricating a mount I can roll up in the passenger window, to duct taping flags to roof racks. Really anywhere you can find a way to attach should work, tho I wouldn't tape one to the paint. Maybe something mounted to the tow hooks?
"We got the discontinued Launch Green paint color but also the newer 20-inch All-Terrain Dark wheels. Call it a future collectible."
Umm, wut? AT Darks have been available since the start. That's my config, LG+AT Dark. Not a collectible. Just one of the available configs.
I hate to be pedantic, but the point of a flag in sand is so someone can see your vehicle before you crest a dune and hit them head on. If you put your flag at the rear of a long truck like this, there's basically no chance it can be seen before you come up over the crest of the dune.
Please...
Planning on ensuring before I leave the SC with my truck on Friday it's on the latest software version. It better be before I get there, but if not I will 100% make someone sit there and wait with me while it updates. Definitely don't want to run the risk it dies on me somewhere inconvenient.
