A littler farther along 20 like in Marblemount or Newhalem would be better but this is still a great location for a RAN charger. Currently, the only other option is the EVCS in Newhalem and I don't know if you've tried using it but it's really terrible. Less than 50% success rate of initiating a charge and only does 150kW. I'd be sad to learn if these only end up being L2 for the campground.Kind of a weird place to put a RAN - it would take up about half the parking, and it's only 30 miles from I-5. Are you sure these aren't Level 2 stations at the campground?
100%. Great spot for a charger. That's great to see. I feel like interior NH was being left out. This is a good spot for our summer road trips to my in laws in Barnstead. We often have to top off just a few minutes so we don't arrive with no margin for error. We usually stop at one of the Tesla chargers near Nashua.
This will also be a good spot for those heading to the ski resorts in the winter
Almost certainly related - all RAN chargers run 100% on renewable energy, and part of the delay in build out over the years has been the availability of green energy at the planned locations. Rivian invests in and builds its own renewable energy sources to fulfill this goal. There is also a major solar install going in nearby so cool to see it all happen at the same time.
