just curious what did Rivian charge for the set of burnish bronze rims? do you have to have a Gen 2 Quad to purchase them? i love the look of the bronze wheels.

The cost was right around 6000.00. I have a Gen 2 Quad so I’m not sure if they sell them to non Gen 2 Quad owners. Since they are in fact exclusive to the Gen 2 Quad.

might be worth a call if you really want them.

Any noticeable stability/handling differences when going from the staggered super sport wheels to the narrower square sport wheels?

Absolutely! If speed is your thing and you enjoy “spirited” driving and taking corners fast? The super sports with those co-designed tires between Michelin and Rivian are amazing.

Super grippy and you feel more planted while taking turns or just maneuvering at higher speeds. It’s a very noticeable difference. Very very violent and aggressive when launching. Tires are very costly to replace and I think they’re rated at like 15K miles.

Now, for road trips, better range and normal everyday driving. The other tires with the burnished bronze are just fine. Smoother, quieter and just day to day driving they’re just fine.

But, to really fully unlock the Quad, the Michelins are the way to go for sure.

And evident in the respective UTQG: 500 A A for Pirelli Scorpion MS Elect. 300 A A for Michelin Pilot Sport S 5. A whopping 820 B A for the popular non-factory Michelin LTX Defender M/S2—which users have commented about lack of grip, but happy about low wear rate.

I've got square of the super sport that I've been running in my S in the summer time. They are amazing, just keep pushing harder and harder into the corner. Way beyond what is comfortable knowing the weight of the car.
