Its been 3 Years to date already with my R1S so here is my 3 year Ownership Log/Review but first a TLDR for those who want the short version. Any Questions? Ask Below.

TLDR: Hands down one of the best vehicles I owned regardless of how it is fueled. It being able to update its components and add features on the fly on a monthly basis is icing on the cake as I have never owned a vehicle like that prior. The vehicle has been majorly bug free with the occasional hiccup but nothing major but you only hear/see the bad parts online so this is a positive saying nothing (knock on wood) major has happened even with me beating up the vehicle since day one on purpose for shakedown testing. Recent Service updated my Jounce Lines, a new AC compressor, took care of some rattles and paid for a new windshield with a crack. I havent had any major problems period where I would get somewhat annoyed by service (I know a lot of you have) mine must have been a middle of the week build! I know this is really YMMV but just posting the positive since online is mostly negative. Basically never had to go in for service for anything major.

Here is my 2 Year Review from last year: https://rivianforums.com/forum/threads/my-2-year-r1s-year-ownership-review.33166/

Overall my R1S ownership has been amazing and I couldn't be happier with the vehicle. You often see a lot of criticism on the service etc where its due but so far I haven't been in a spot to criticize them too much. How ever My standards are basic and reliability/leaving you stranded which hasnt happened so I am a happy camper and wont ever nitpick that much.

Interior Wear and Tear:
Interior wear and tear has been minimal really as I have some really great LinerX floor mats and use my favorite interior cleaner for cleaning things up. I did have some window gaskets that were loose/expanding letting in more debris and water (which did not penetrate inside cabin) but I had service replace it and the car has been great. With 1 kid and another on the way the interior has held up flawless even with the 100+ cheerios everywhere lol. I do feel my drivers seat is collapsing on the left ingress and egress point so lets see how service handles that but otherwise its not too bad.

Tires
The one gripe I have is not having an Ultra High Performance All Season Tire (like a DWS06+) or something along those lines. REALLLLY need something better as I don't really like any options in 20 or 22's

Storage: I think for like 80% of the people with a family of 5 you have plenty of storage, unless you are bringing 2 babies to the beach and you need every single item then yes you need a cargo box but otherwise there is more than enough storage.

My Previous Feature Wishlist has been all answered except for V2L/H/G

I have had my R1S Quad since 6/23 and can report a similar experience. I call it my Swiss Army Knife Vehicle. I am trading it for a new R1S Quad next Friday. Can’t wait to experience the updates. Be Adventirous!

Glad you are enjoying your truck. When everything works with these as it should, you can see the brilliance in them.

I hope you get many more miles out of it.

Sooo the real question is which do you like driving more..QV or R1S??
They are both amazing in their own way which says a lot about the Rivian considering how well the Alfa drives.

Great write up!
We've had our LE Quad R1T since 10/21 and still best vehicle we've ever owned. Like you there have been a few trips to service. But all have been minor. Interior is still strong and solid. No rattles, exterior looking good and no issues. Just want to add our R1t is such a low VIN it's pretty much hand made. Only thing we did was change to Goodyears ATs. After 2 sets of Pirellis I could not stand the singing any longer. FYI if anyone is thinking of changing I would recommend the Goodyear AT. approx 15K on them still quiet and look great. Better efficiency too. Have 2 L2 charges we use, different locations. A Rivian and other is an Emporia, which we've use since we got R1T. Rivian didn't have their charger avaible at the time we got our R1T. I've driven it on trips often stopping 1x or 2x along the way DCFC. longest road trip Normal to Boston 2K miles RT. (It made it on GMA when in Boston). I would make that trip again. So enjoyable to drive.

I love your update/pictures and your love for Rivian. I am in the same boat.

I had a 2023 Gen 1 R1S until someone cut in front of me and it got totaled. Zero issues with it up until that point. Favorite car I've owned by far. Replaced it with a Gen 2 R1S and am loving the updates. Have some small issues with door closure, etc that I will need to get addressed when I take it in but the camera upgrades and the adaptive headlights are vast improvements.

@kanundrum-thanks for the post. I remember last years and continue to love these updates. I echo your experience with my R1S in the last two years. I wish I could have done half the things you have done though. I miss my quad, specially the sound. Here's to many many more miles and smiles for you mate!

Have you looked at these? The GY engineer that worked with Rivian is on the thread. These will be my next set when I replace.
