Note the transparent part of the rear reflector is extruded at the white one, while the blue is similar to other R1T in the parking lot.

Yeah it's because of the requirement for a pedestrian to see the backup lights of the vehicle. It only applies to the S because the T you can see the reverse lights. Rivian had to put this retrofit into place.
