I BROKE DOWN…… bought an R1T third party

And bought an R1T third party. I waited about 18 months for my Bronco and wasn’t feeling another long wait, lol. Still have my reservation and don’t plan to cancel it. I was lucky enough to get one for less than $10K over current MSRP and have been very happy with the purchase so far.
Picked up the truck in Portland, OR on Tuesday and drove 2452 miles back to San Antonio. Absolutely love the truck and have no regrets. Also saw a lot of other Rivians on our trip and even saw a few Hummer EV mules at one stop.

Not to derail the thread, but how did the Hummer SUVs look? I reserved one (only $100) but probably won't end up ordering in the end. They look pretty sweet in the pictures, but I'm pretty sure we will take delivery of our R1S instead.

It looked really nice, big as expected. Not sure it would be a great daily driver because of the size, but does look like it would be fun.

Thanks, that’s exactly how we felt about it. Could stomach the price and enjoy the truck until we have to opportunity to order one. Will also let us see what we want/need in a build.

How was getting the vehicle ported over to you on the rivian side of things? Pretty easy to have them update you as the new owner?

+1, I did the same and have zero buyers remorse. R1S reservation was expected 1H23 but that aint happening and is more likely 2024?

Only other delay is Rivian is struggling to get the vehicle owner transferred into my name, despite having title transfer and DMV registration and tags completed already.

Still working on that. The previous owner actually gave me access to his account on the app (not sure I would have) so it makes it easier for us.

Saw a lot in CA and also stopped by the Costa Mesa SC. The stop with the Hummers also had two other Rivians stop while we were there.
