Tuesday night I decided to go to the factory as I could not get some questions answered over the phone/email. I decided to ride my Guzzi out since the weather looked good. When I left there was still a little snow on the driveway from our recent 9" snowfall, but the roads were clear. Temperatures warmed during the day and I arrived about 5pm. I went in and explained what I wanted to get done and they said they would have a customer service rep call me. I had the put notes in my account describing I would be returning to Pittsburgh the next morning. I then went outside and road the perimeter road past the lot of finished vehicles. There must be close to a thousand - it's a lot !!!

One of my questions was the LG color. I was able to get close to one and photographed it in direct sunlight. The metalflake they used ia a gold instead of silver and gave it an Army OD color which is not to my taste.

I then was able to compare the el Cap under the same lighting.

I then moved onto the FG with the same technique.

I decided to change my configuration to Forest Green. Very sharp in full sun.

Next I noticed the guy in the truck near me was preparing to load the hauler and asked if I could take pictures.

Since there was nothing else underneath I took some better pictures of the undercarriage protection package.

The next morning I figured I would be there when they started their shift at 8:30. I went in and explained to another at the front desk I was to get a call and did not yet. Since I was leaving the area, he said he would call but that I was not allowed in the build and he had to escort me out. After a few minutes a guy came out to talk with me. Curtis told me he was in charge of CS and asked what he could do to help. He couldn't believe I road my bike all the way out and really did everything he could to answer questions and help. We got along really well.........and then he said that he had a friend who was upstairs and that maybe he would bring his vehicle over to show me. JR came down and you have to understand, he not only left what he was doing, but had to take a shuttle bus to the remote parking to retrieve his truck. I got an up close look while an owner answered my questions. It was great and he was under no obligation to do any of this.

After quite a long time of look and see, JR offered me a ride (scratch that....a DRIVE). I hopped in and we proceeded to go around while he adjusted the suspension settings. I would hit the same potholes ant the same speed to see the felt difference in the ride. I did not do a zero to sixty, after all, this was a personal vehicle and he did not have to let me near it, let alone drive it. I had OC interior configured, but changed to BM when I sat in JR's. It is really nice and will be infinitely more practical. Very good day. All in all the pair were with me about 3.5 hrs. At the end Curtis made the changes to my configuration and attached a note if it some how reverted to the prior items. As I pulled out, I spotted this way in the back. Red Canyon.

There were also some R1Ss and Amazon Vans in the lot. By the way, who ever is in Brooklyn that has a FG, BM R1T ordered...........the truck is on the way.

I neglected one thing. By the time I got home I had an email from a guide who had been assigned to me and the call will be Monday morning.

No Rivian content here, except the bike I took out is close to the Forest Green.

I hope you are able to convince rivian to let you do factory pickup and put your guzzi in the back you‘ve described elsewhere. They should know a good little PR story for the website when they see one ?

I say this out of love, They probably moved you to the front to keep you from showing up and distracting the staff :p.

What color is the that R1T right before the red canyon? It looks far too dark to be rivian blue and too blue to be El Cap or Forest Green?

Rivian blue. You can see el cap a few trucks behind.

Right - I just blew up the picture and RJ Blue it is. They did say they were playing around with another color of grey but did not say Limestone. By the way, the El Cap is georgous still on the cloudy day. It was my second choice. I saw no signs of team yellow anywhere.
