Do you have a multimeter? I'd love to know your voltage coming out of there.
I just checked, I’m getting 13.2V from the outlet, and I tested the cooler on medium and low voltage protection as well.

That leads me to think you have a bad connection somewhere. Voltage dropping a lot when load increases. Make sure the 12v socket contacts are clean and that the physical connection is solid? Wish I had better advice.

yeah that’s what Sojhinn suggested when I had my harness plugged in, so when I went to install his harness, I really made sure the connections were good. I’m at a loss!

What the heck. I'm at a loss now. Let me think about it.
Same issue with my BougeRV fridge. A buddy of mine made the harness. Power measures 13.4v. When the fridge compressor tries to turn on, the voltage drops below 9.6v and low voltage alert E1 displays on the screen. Changed from max to eco and turned battery protection mode from high to low.
Now that I've taken the panel out, I may just scrap the idea of the harness and run it to the Gear Tunnel. I might tinker with it a little more to pull out the under seat storage and splice the wires into the existing 12v wiring.

Curious. When's the last time you guys replaced the 12v battery?

The drop in voltage is what doesn't make sense. It's tied into the DC to DC charger and battery.
I've tied larger loads with no issues. Ill think about this further.

seems like exactly what's happening with my cooler! Goes beyond my pay grade, but I can wait and see if anyone smarter than me has any ideas.

I pulled out the under-seat storage bin to see about accessing the back of the existing 12v socket in the Gear Tunnel. That is a no-go. Then I popped the socket out from the GT. Wires can be run from the new socket in the bed, along the harness in the GT opening and into the cavity for the 12v socket. A new harness can be made to connect this into the existing circuit.

I have successfully installed a 12v outlet in the bed of the truck with no more issues with my BougeRV fridge. When linked in with the compressor, the voltage would drop below 9.6v and the fridge would error out.

So I decided to run a wire all the way to the socket in the gear tunnel. Started by removing the rear and driver side bed panels with a 10mm socket and T50 socket to release the lower tiedown anchors. Popped the 12v socket out with a pry tool. Ran a wire https://a.co/d/00l7YLEs from the socket hole, under the gear tunnel plates, through the upper hole w/ grommet, zip tied to the wiring harnesses, and ending where the socket would be at next to the compressor outlet. Used a 1 1/8" (29mm) hole saw for the outlet. Connected the existing outlet and new wire to the new harness https://a.co/d/0auPuVoG (didn't add the fuse since it's already a fused line). No issues with the fridge anymore. Haven't seen in drop below 12v.
