I see you have Maryland as a Southern state. I know so many who would be offended 🤣
Haha, blame Claude 😆. I'm honestly just acting as a director here, Claude has done all the coding so if something is not obviously amiss, I might not catch it.

Tbf DelMarVa doesn’t really fit into any group. It’s just the Mid-Atlantic region by itself lol. Not northeast and not southeast.

To be clear, DMV is DC, MD, and VA. Not DE.
I remember when we moved to MD and I first heard the term DMV it was confusing because what other states call the Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV), Maryland calls the Motor Vehicle Administration (MVA)... so I was like "What are you talking about? We don't have a DMV..." My new local friends quickly schooled me on some local terms.

I didn’t say DMV. I said Delmarva. They’re two different terms. DMV is the DC metro area that includes the surrounding portions of VA and MD. Delmarva is Delaware, Maryland, and Virginia. Delmarva is also the name given to the Delmarva peninsula itself as it encompasses all 3 states.

I was born and raised in VA lol I know 😄

I mean, makes sense to change the DMV to MVA in Maryland. So many people in maryland travel to DC or VA on a daily basis so to prevent confusion it would make sense to have it as the MVA. While Northern VA is the same there is still a large portion of the state that doesn't interact with DC or MD so no need to change it.

My apologies... I had never heard of DelMarVa.... Since the letters matched up, I figured you were referencing the "DMV". Hopefully that was an understandable mistake.

No worries at all friend! I was trying to comment and explain lightly but it’s hard to convey a proper respectful tone on the internet 🤝👍

To be clear, Delmarva came first - it is a MUCH older term, used since the 1800s. DMV is fairly recent, maybe since 2010-ish. When I lived and worked in that region, I never ever heard the DMV acronym - we always just called anything around there DC.

And BTW while I'm at it, Washington refers to the STATE - say DC if you mean DC.😁

Can we add something on the dashboard for interior color also?
Section 2 has a chart for interior take-rate, but I can add charts for other correlations too.
  • Section 3 could expand to show Exterior color vs Interior color
  • The VIN charts could differentiate by interior (might need to pick one or two axes at a time though, or there will be too many series to see clearly)
  • Interior by destination might eventually be interesting, but with such limited data at the moment it will be a pretty boring chart.
Anything else you want to see specifically?
Sorry, I was looking at section 10 for VIN sequencing.
Updated charts for Coastal Cloud interior now live: https://r2-dashboard.pages.dev
See Charts 3, 10, and 15 for the new views. I recognize that Chart 10 is getting a bit busy, and I am exploring ways to make it configurable client-side so you can select which set of configuration attributes to group by. For now, Coastal Cloud is mixed in based on the exterior color and wheel size.
