Are you taking delivery at the Greenville service center

If I have a choice, I’d pick the Charlotte SC. But wouldn’t surprise me if they aren’t doing deliveries there. I haven’t heard of any. After that Greenville would be next. I am not sure if it is up to me?

I just got off the phone with a Rivian sales rep and asked if I could take delivery at a different location to speed up the whole process. He said it's in the system where it will be delivered and I cannot change that. It doesn't matter that I do not have a VIN assigned or anything... My location is determined by the ZIP code in my profile.
It's totally possible that he didn't know what he was talking about, or that he just didn't want to change it even if he could. But if I take what he said at face value, then your pick up location is pre-determined and you do not have a choice in the matter.

I only ask because I placed an order for an R2 with coastal cloud this afternoon and wasn't given any kind of indication as to delivery date.

I'm not sure where the 8-12 weeks that is being repeated came from.

Anyone in Charlotte area is going to pick up in Duncan, SC at the service center there. Ironically, the opposite of Tesla which made us in SC go to Charlotte to pick up. Dealership laws and such.

Got the “its time to begin the purchase process” email.

seems like a VIN too, is it the trailing 4 digits? If so it’s 47XX

For anyone who’s in the CARB state (CA here) does the discount/credit show up on the purchase order screen? Or is it discounted later? I added the charger and two adaptors, but it simply shows them as charges, with no credits against them.

In the final docs they will just show as included. I did not need the NACS to J1772 as I have one so did not order it. I did get the other 2 items.

Got my invite to order today, 8/18 at 9 am. Ordered at 1051 am. Then at 1 pm, I got the confirmation of a delivery date this Friday, 8/21. That’s kinda crazy to me or I got one of the earlier rejected ones. Is that a bad thing??

I just looked at the order spreadsheet and found the same VIN number…..does that mean the person rejected the car???? I wish I could contact that person.

Just to confirm, you already have a VIN number for an order with coastal cloud interior? You’d be the first!

@DBDR Any update on your order? Did they flag it and reassign you to a different one?

No! They cancelled my order and said that it "had the paint issue" -- I'm very skeptical.

I'd love to find the other person to see if they assigned it to them?

I'm supposed to get a call back tomorrow with more details / next steps. I'm pretty annoyed though, especially if they ended up giving it to somebody else.

Ordered Yesterday an hour after the email. Catalina and Coastal Cloud. The confirmation said 8-12 weeks, but I got another email this AM saying it's in pre-production... Hopefully it's sooner rather than later - I'm excited!
