VIN?Invite (surprise) received today, order placed, form submitted. Order window was Sept-Oct.
No VIN assigned yet.VIN?
It's possible that the testing they want to do could be quick, but they also have lots of other deliveries to take care of, and other service appointments to do as well (if the location you are picking up at is also a service center....). Scheduling can be really tough!Chiming in on also getting multiple delivery delays.
My original pickup date was scheduled for today (Aug 11th) but last week a Service Advisor told me they needed to complete a full 3-day inspection before delivery, so they delayed it by 1-day to Aug 12th (tomorrow), not a big deal. I got a text this morning that "additional in-depth diagnostics" needed to be completed which will take another week for a delivery now on Aug 19th.
They wouldn't say whether there's any physical problems with the car, just that something was flagged and wanted to do multiple rounds of testing. While I'm happy they're not giving me a broken car on arrival, an additional week of testing seems excessive?
Worried now I'll just get another text next week saying they discovered something that needs to be fixed & they'll be another delay.
VIN is in the early 4000's
Possibly, but the delivery date is now entering the 9th week since I placed my order. But yes it is my local service center doing the work & where I pick up at.It's possible that the testing they want to do could be quick, but they also have lots of other deliveries to take care of, and other service appointments to do as well (if the location you are picking up at is also a service center....). This is interesting. My R2 showed up to the Colorado Springs SC on 8/4. My initial pickup date was 8/8 and is now tentatively scheduled for 8/15 but they are not sounding confident in that date. I should know more in the next couple days. The SC representative stated that they are stretched thin right now and PDI is taking longer than expected. My delivery was just changed to Friday (8/14) from 8/18 as it has arrived and they expect to have it ready earlier than expected. Fingers crossed they don't find anything that causes it to be delayed like so many others.

yep I completely agree. Just got back from picking it up. Took local roads home to ensure no rock chips and dropping it off this afternoon for PPF and tint!I get it. The air suspension is something I'll absolutely miss and won't miss at the same time. The camp leveling will be the biggest item I miss plus the extra ground clearance when I needed it.
That being said, it did make numerous clunky noises. Most were probably fine, but having driven many trucks in my life, the noises didn't inspire confidence.
The R2 definitely feels more planted and less floaty. Very poised and agile feeling. After tint and PPF in a week, it will be ready to go on a roadtrip for the true test.
That launch green is looking good! It looks like you got the evsportline running boards and a full size spare ready to go?yep I completely agree. Just got back from picking it up. Took local roads home to ensure no rock chips and dropping it off this afternoon for PPF and tint!
it is very nimble and solid feeling. I do like the suspension feel a lot better. It does have some elements that feel cheaper but overall it gives the same vibes as the R1T. I’m amazed given the price range.
What part of VA are you in NOVA or Richmond? I'm up in MD and my 3rd delivery date is Thursday. The 1st got bumped by 2 days due to the vehicle leaving the factory late. Once the vehicle got to MD/Glen Burnie SC, they found issue during PDI and the part is suppose to arrive today a week after PDI, install tomorrow and pick up on Thursday. I'm almost afraid to ask if part came in today. I plan to wait until tomorrow to ask.Possibly, but the delivery date is now entering the 9th week since I placed my order. But yes it is my local service center doing the work & where I pick up at.
