Ford's M.O. at this point. Late to the game, hype up technology that others have used for years, do not improve the product and then let it rot away and move on to the next shiny thing.

I'm not even cautiously optimistic for this thing. Ford just has a way of doing things lately and it's not fun.

That is because of high level of vertical integration, automation/robots, cheap human labor in few roles where humans are employed instead of robots and, of course, national subsidies. Much of these things are just not possible in the US.

State of charge video covering what Tom has gathered so far on the Ford Fathom. Looks like a good local-use truck, great for business/fleet use. Imo, Slate has their work cut out for them given Ford's advantages in service availability and company stability. Love the competition!
