Seller had to pay sales tax on it. Assuming they are indeed in Ohio like their C&B account says, that's at least 5.75%.

They took a loss on this.

With the seller subsidizing the buyer with a $2810 loss, it's practically zero premium with the 5% Buyers fee of only $3175.

Edit: The buyer will have to deal with their own state sales taxes. Hopefully they live in a low tax state as that's where the extra cost will show up.

I agree about tax and license when seller purchased the vehicle, mine was 67.5k out the door.

I was responding to the comment about additional auction fees which the seller should not have any on C&B.

Developing some exterior aftermarket stuffs for it. I'll eventually start a build thread here when I have a bit to breathe. Roof carrier, rear bumper with spare tire mount, front bumper with hidden winch setup (which is quite a ways off).

This is exactly why I don't understand this transaction. With the buyer premium and probably having to still pay sales tax, I wouldn't want a car that's not truly brand new unless there's a real discount.

A brand new one in this configuration is $61,585 from Rivian, so they only paid less than $2k above MSRP for a car with 71 miles. Not really that bad if you really wanted one.
