To do that, we're bringing a randomly selected group of reservation holders into early batches, which will help us refine our timing estimates so that everyone can benefit from a clear and transparent purchase process.

This is how they will justify people who live in say, San Francisco who have a later reservation and no current R1 getting front loaded for delivery.

I live in New Mexico. No Demo or service center. Looks like I will be left out in the cold. Good thing I am on the list for an IX3.

I wonder if the Performance and Premium will both be available for test drives. I'd like to see what difference there is in the suspension feel.

The good news is that if you get an early invite but want an option that currently isn't available it sounds like the invite stays open until used. Downside is price and/or options can change at any time.

When I get my invite, how long do I have to act?
You can order whenever you are ready, however trims, options and pricing can change based on availability. Your configuration and pricing are not locked until you place your order and receive a confirmation from us.

I hope I’m not in limbo. I have a Rivian Service Center and Showroom 15 mins away in Knightdale, NC. But Rivian can’t sell EVs in NC.

So the actual closest Rivian sales center is 3 hours away in Richmond, VA…
