Rivian Assistant can properly pronounce Spanish names!

I’ve only been using it in Baltimore so far, and will give it a much bigger test when were in New Mexico this summer, but while driving around today, it actually pronounced ‘Alameda’ with a Spanish accent!

I’m so sick of navigation trying to pronounce Spanish words as though they were English! The first time Google Maps told me to turn right on Calle Chavez I missed my turn, because I couldn’t figure out who Chavez was, or why I was being told to call him.

Yes, it, she does. Sadly, and for now, no Spanish conversations, questions, only Inglés. We have tried.

Last night the Assistant did something for me and I, just being silly, responded with a "danke schön" (with the typical American mispronunciation of danke shane). To my surprise, she casually responded with a you're welcome!

One of the first things I tried to out was texting and just for fun and as a test my first texts were in Spanish to my wife. They went through correctly.

If the only change is that it pronounces ‘Cerillos’ without any L sounds, it will be worth every penny spent on it.

New Mexico will be a great test.....well, pretty much Texas, New Mexico, Arizona and California (southern mainly).

Opposite for me. I live in Southern California where half the street names are Spanish and it’s infuriating the nav voice tries and gets it wrong. I prefer the English-sized pronounciations so I’m not guessing what mispronounced street name they are trying to route me to.

Living in Arizona, her Spanish street names could use a lot of improvement. But she does give us a laugh. Sounds like she uses American English phonetics to figure out words she does not know ... so it's not limited to Spanish. For example, "Shea" , locally pronounced same as the old stadium spelled the same, is pronounced "She" by Rivian. But to be fair, Google is not much better, just different.
