  1. 500-800 miles from Service Center......from those with Rivian experience....how risky will this be?

Well, I'm guessing you don't live in NM and were not there. Also, that's big assumption that I don't respect law enforcement officers. Otherwise, enjoy the ride.
  2. 500-800 miles from Service Center......from those with Rivian experience....how risky will this be?

No fences were in the way enabling clear access to the frontage road. Took advantage of the situation along with several dually pickups the R1S’ maximum departure angle of 34.4 degrees made the down hill exit a piece of cake. Also, law enforcement and other first responders were otherwise occupied.
  3. 500-800 miles from Service Center......from those with Rivian experience....how risky will this be?

It was four years from our order date to the day we were able to pick up our R1S at the Denver Service Center. Traded in my 2000 E-350 hi-top diesel van with some 330k+ miles. The capabilities of the R1S eliminate worries of virtually any driving challenges. Even though my age of nearly 80 will...
  4. 500-800 miles from Service Center......from those with Rivian experience....how risky will this be?

I received a phone call from a Rivian service rep to arrange mobile service to replace the 12V battery. It was proactive service provided free. The appointment was scheduled within two weeks of the call. The Rivian mobile technician (Eric) showed up as scheduled and completed the service within...
  5. 500-800 miles from Service Center......from those with Rivian experience....how risky will this be?

Living in Northern New Mexico, we have had multiple mobile service calls by the two Rivian Mobile Technicians living in NM. Our 2024 R1S has not been to a Rivian Service Center - closest is in Colorado Springs. Our most recent home service was two weeks ago to replace our 12V battery. Service...

  7. 2026 R2 pricing, range & specs! $57,990 Performance Launch Edition / $53,990 Premium / $48,490 Standard / $45,000 Standard (Smaller Battery)

R2 Launch Edition price, including delivery, will closely match BMW's mid 2026 debut of the new BMW ix3 EV SUV for about $60K. Interesting times!
  8. R1S spotted at the US Capitol

My how things have changed. Moving to the Southwest in 2004 after 30+ years inside the Beltway, law enforcement must have really changed with respect to front plates, never mind inspection stickers and personal property taxes stickers required; those were the days!
  9. R1S spotted at the US Capitol

No front plate visible so, unless it's a dealer plate on the back, it is not registered in DC, VA or MD.
  10. Albuquerque RAN coming online today!

Wondering about the status of the RAN charging station in Gallup, NM (980 US 491).
  11. Federal NEVI EV charger program cancelled

I suggest editing the headline "Trump just canceled the federal NEVI EV charger program" to 'Trump is attempting to cancel the federal NEVI EV charger program"
  12. RIVIAN saves JEEP in over his head (literally)

Good job recovering the Jeep; and you sent shudders through Toledo! ?
  13. Most memorable moment with your Rivian in 2024?

This is easy! Driving from NM to Denver to take delivery four years to the day from our original order - placed in Austin, TX at the Fully Charged Expo. Second most memorable: driving back home from Denver (same trip) encountering two charging stations that were out of order. Then arriving home...
  14. If you’re letting a tire shop work on your Rivian, watch them like a hawk!

Great service at local Discount Tires rotating my tires and fixing a tire with a nail, losing pressure. I did watch them use their pucks in the correct locations. Only drawback: left all four puck caps hanging down. Going back with newly ordered Jack puck cover labels.
