  1. Indianapolis to Maine road trip (via Philly and Boston) - 2200 miles

Sorry to hear you had so many issues. I’m sure it distracted from having a relaxing and enjoyable trip. Definitely frustrating. Although I agree with you that there are features I have no interest in and wish Rivian would focus their attention elsewhere, I must say your vehicle seems to be in...
  2. Front Sensors Off with 2026.15.01 update

Good to hear it is resolved. Self healed 😉
  3. Topping off battery every 1-2 hours since last updates?

Can you be more specific as to which update you are referring to when you say last updates? 2026.15.0 or 2026.15.30? I'm currently on 2026.15.0 and I have not noticed this. I do not leave the vehicle plugged in but my vampire drain has been completely normal since the .15.30 update. I...
  4. Front Sensors Off with 2026.15.01 update

Next time I'll check RR first before posting 😏
  5. Venting Windows

I was at the Tualatin, OR SC on Monday, June 7th to have the headlamp control modules replaced. As you recall, this was a NTSA recall for some modules failing in ultra cold temperatures (never gets that cold in western Oregon) While waiting (it was a quick service call) I asked about the...
  6. Front Sensors Off with 2026.15.01 update

Is 2026.15.01 a Gen1 update only? For my Gen2, I am currently on 2026.15.0. I have been notified that 2026.15.30 is available for update. I've seen no mention of 2026.15.01. Just curious.....
  7. South OC, CA to Oregon Road Trip - 2,534 Miles

Maybe I’ll check it out my next trip south. As long as it’s in the Hilton family I’m earning points so it works for me 😉
  8. South OC, CA to Oregon Road Trip - 2,534 Miles

Very nice pictures. Better than most I've seen in Oregon State sponsored travel guides. I hope our state treated you and your family well. By the way, for what it's worth, if you ever spend the night in Woodland, CA again, the Hampton Inn & Suites has a L3 charger in the parking lot operated...
  9. Toyota EV Pickup

I didn’t watch the entire video. Is this a full EV or a ICE/EV combo? I think they said it only had a 59 kWh battery. If it is a full EV and lets say a best case efficiency of 3 mi/kWh you’re looking at only ~ 120 miles of usable range (max would be < 180 miles). Maybe adequate for use on and...
  10. Venting Windows

I never opened a ticket nor got an answer when discussed during a SC visit. Honestly, I figured it was not worth it. The issue is probably buried deep in SW code and I figured it would be better left alone. I decided it was not that big of an issue. Two windows open usually does the job. If I...
  11. R2 non-powered frunk is a mistake?

    Great idea... engineer 👍
  12. Rivian on Jimmy Kimmel :)

I would guess most of JK's followers are in large metro areas across the US where brand awareness would be much higher than say a place like Emporia, Kanas. Of course, I could be completely wrong 😏.
  13. Front End Air Suspension FAIL

Perhaps a silly question and obvious to others, but what does Rivian consider the "effective date"? I assume it is the delivery date i.e. when you take ownership? That would make the most sense. However, best not to assume (I'm sure you all know the saying......).
  14. 500-800 miles from Service Center......from those with Rivian experience....how risky will this be?

I agree with JoshO. The reports you read in the forum on issues tend to fall in the minority column, IMO. I think the majority of owners find their Rivian just as reliable and trustworthy as any other EV or ICE vehicle. Sure, SC location my be different for other brands, but if it is not your...
  15. Mach2 Single Bike Rack – 2″ Hitch – LV (Longer Version)

I know you’re asking about the R1T tailgate but for what it’s worth, you can lower the R1S tailgate with the rack installed. The rack has several tilt positions. It is designed to tilt even while bikes are mounted. So I can open the tailgate with/without my bikes mounted by tilting the rack.
