Hi all - I live in Sterling and have had my R1S for about 60 days now. Look forward to connecting with other NoVa/DC Rivian owners.

I am trying to figure out if my AC is a bit off? Or if I/m experiencing the same as others. My AC is super loud and vibrates the accelerator and brake pedals and is not very cold. Anything above fan setting 3/4 and its super loud. And I need to keep it at temp = LO for it to cool the R1S. Anyone else experiencing the same? Otherwise, minus a small popping noise coming from the driver's side floor between the footer and speaker that has seemed to go away, I'm totally enjoying my R1S. Freaking rocket ship.

PS - I bought a set of cross-bars (2) from the Gear shop, but I'd like to add the 3rd one to the roof. Was wondering if anyone wanted to split the 2-pack?

Look in the forums - there's a comment from at least person who mentioned a piece of duct work was missing (maybe you have that problem?). There's also a few reports of low/no pressure in the AC system. I'd file a ticket. Good luck, hope you get it sorted!

I am in Fairfax. I picked up my R1S today and AC noise and vibration were horrible at first. Once I set it to AUTO without changing fan speed, the noise went away and air was cold enough. I only change temperature. Rivian may update the software and it may resolve but who knows?

My A/C is loud as well. I just picked up from Rivian service due to A/C went out after first trip. Guy in waiting room is bringing his new R1T in for the third time in 60 days due to A/C only working on and off. Mine was not working at all. They needed to replace a gasket ring is what technician stated. I inquired about loud A/C and he said it was loud when sitting idle but noise should reduce when driving due to wind aids in cooling unit as needed when A/C is on. He first said this is due to it is an all electric vehicle and part of design. I said no. This noise is not prevalent in the Audi etron or the Tesla vehicles. He then said this is a Rivian design and enough people complain, maybe engineers will work to reduce noise.

Per some comments in the forums, make sure your A/C is on *recirculate*. Also, I keep mine on *Low* temp and turn my blower on max about 5-10 mins before I leave so by the time I drive away it's cool and I can cut the blower back to min which isn't nearly as noisy.

Thanks all - not sure if this is good that many of us have the loud noise, but good to know it's not a me thing. I raised the ticket, but there is no open service slot at the Gaithersburg until mid Sept. but I've been calling every 3 days or so to try to get better Cust service.
