Just as I thought things were over, muffin strikes again.

The slats have split apart on our gen1.2 powered tonneau (gen2 truck) - any way to remove them? They don’t seem to have enough tolerance on either side to let me pivot them out from the track, and as our truck has stops at the end can’t just slide them out.

Thankfully have a service appointment for Tues next week already, hopefully they’ll be able to add fixing it into that slot.

Are the separated ones free-sliding in the track? When my PTC broke, they wedged in tight and I couldn't move them by hand.

Same here. I was able to get them readjusted, but then they locked up and we're competely wedged.

Just got mine back today with V2! Soooo much better! They needed parts to do the voluntary service of resealing my HV batteries so I'll have to go back for that...I assume the chance of moisture intrusion is what killed some of the batteries on other vehicles.

I managed to work them to within an inch of the front (back?) of the bed over the space of 20 mins - hopefully they stay there. Beds around half open, but thankfully no snow forecast between now and Tues.

Did you have to wait long for parts @madhat ? Hopefully they have cleared the backlog and can turn around pretty fast, would suck to be stuck like this over the holidays.

To remove mine, they simply beat them out after breaking them apart from each other. Sounds like the latter is done. I think the end stop can be removed, or broken out. He said they would replace the entire track so it didn't matter if it was damaged.

Talk to them about it NOW. It took weeks for my replacement to arrive. But they sent someone to fully remove the cover via mobile service right away.

Appointment was 1 month out. They turned it around same day.
The battery sealing parts... they didn't tell me how long that would take for them to be available. Why they didn't have them ready at the same time since they added the sealing to the service themselves i don't know 😀 I know they'll take care of me, but I would have preferred to be R1T-less for the originally estimated 2 days once over two 1 day events.

Still overall happy because the tonneau is so much better. My wife asked why they even released the first version. She assumed we'd lost gear tunnel space with the service, and then was really confused by the original design when space was unchanged.

So I just got it back from the local SC: wow.

The original design always felt like it was a scale model of some random part of an aircraft carrier. What everyone says about the udpate is true: This thing is smooth, and so quite.
