Thanks for the post!!
Amazing and yet not surprising to me and probably other owners who, like me, don’t post enough of these positive stories.
Almost 18 mos. with my 2024 R1S Launch Edition (~20,300 mi.) and, other than a couple of the early-adopter Gen1 issues, it’s been outstanding. Likewise, best vehicle I’ve ever owned.
Being on the MS Gulf of Mexico coast I’ve relied on both mobile and Memphis Service. They too have been as good, or better, than any other service experience. Particularly from a dealership!
Took a double-take on the next to last pic - the air drag when you towed that tree must have nuked your efficiency numbers!

In just over 3 years, I just passed 100,000 mi!

They didn't have the specific trailer settings when I started, so I don't know exactly how many of those miles have been towing our horses, but it's at least 3,000.

We live at 6,000 ft elevation, and have taken it up skiing several times, so it his faced high altitude as well as cold and snow.

We live down a dirt road, and I have spent a lot of time helping people find off-grid properties, so this truck has actually been used as a truck.

So general thoughts....

I am amazed at how few issues this truck has had with this many miles. My efficiency has actually improved over the years, not decreased. When I have both horses behind me, I figure I'm around 7,500 or 8,000 lb. Could not even compare how much better this tows than my previous Sierra.

I could not be more impressed with the Rivian service team, both mobile and at the service center.

I have had to do a little bit of suspension work and brakes since I've had it, but that's about it.

I was not prepared for how quickly the tires would run out, but since switching to a Michelin tire that Discount Tire recommended, it has been much better. The Perellis barely got 20,000 mi, the Michelins I'm getting about 30,000 MI.

Interior has held up so well. Still looks the same as it did when I got it. Super impressed with the quality.

I have read so many of the complaints and negative reviews online, and I just don't see it. Other than the tires, literally do not have a single complaint about the truck. That's not true. Android auto would be nice.

I guess now the question just becomes how many miles can I expect to get out of the battery?

For having such high miles, so many of those towing, being at sub-freezing and even Sub-Zero temperatures, and a good deal of time off-road, I was not expecting it to be as good as it's been.

I don't know that I will be able to afford another one if this one dies, since it was so much less expensive at the pre-order, but I have loved everything about it!

That’s awesome!!! Same here - minor suspension things and 20k on Pirellis. Other than that, best vehicle experience I’ve ever had - including service

In March my LE R1T will be 4 years old. She lives at 8,600 feet and the only real issue I've ever had was a suspension problem the very first week she was delivered. Granted, I only have 17,000 miles on her (she doesn't leave the Vail Valley very often), but is without question the best truck I have ever owned. The Pirelli's were okay tires in the snow, but ridiculously loud after 5,000 miles, so now I'm running the Toyo EV's for the upcoming winter (if it ever gets here). Will happily buy another one at some point in the future, but if I wait for 100,000 miles, it's gonna be a loooong time...

Thank you for posting. It makes me happy to see these high mileage post from happy owners. My other truck (which I kept) has over 320,000 miles and my 2022 R1T currently has 45,000 miles. Each time my other truck turned a mileage milestone like 100K, 200k, and then 300k, I was on a camping or trail riding adventure with my kids. That is the main reason I could not sell it or trade it when I bought the R1T, it is a rolling memory of the time I spent with my kids as they were growing up. Every time I look at my other truck or climb into it the cab it brings back a memory. I will be restoring it with my two boys over the next several years, so the R1T has a lot to live up to in my garage.

I plan on keeping the R1T as long as I can. I also can't express enough how happy I have been with my purchase as well. I know there are several complaints/issues out there, but I have had a great ownership experience and any issues have been minor considering this is a new company, new vehicle, and first generation platform. My truck is on construction sites and undeveloped land several days a week, it sees some trail duty on the weekends, and it still looks as good as the day I bought it and remains a joy to drive daily.

My wife's car is a 2023 Jeep Grand Cherokee (Summit Reserve Package) it is super plush and very nice, but somehow we both like to take the R1T. I will admit, the sound of the Hemi in her car is something that brings out my inner caveman and my best Tim the Tool man grunt.

Congrats on the milestone.
"Grunt", I make that sound when I pass a gas station in my home solar powered R1T But hey I relate to the grunt too. I grunt when I'm at stop light and I know my R1T Quad could smoke the "Beffy" Ram next to me. But of course, he too is grunting.
This story thread is a great one! I'm at 53K, and still grunting!

Just over 76k miles here in 3-1/2 years- I have about 4500mi towing on the profiles and probably another 1k or more prior to the profiles- usually around 5-6k #'s.

In a more temperate climate here and lower elevations, but have made many, many trips over the passes.

I have been thru 2 full sets of Pirelli 20's and on the third as well as a set of 21's on my second there (Hankooks now).

Really have had no service other than the recalls as they came, windshield replacements, tonneau changeout (their doing, mine was still working) and an alignment. Before I hit 60k miles, I had a comprehensive inspection and the only thing they came up with was that little chrome strip on the inside door near the handle was coming apart and sharp to touch - so they replaced the door panel.

I treat my HV battery terribly and yet it still performs just the same (charge to 100% more often than not). (Theory has been they hide the degradation in the buffer until they can't anymore just to keep the visible the same thru the warranty period for most).

The biggest positive I can say is that the vehicle came with a wonderful community. I feel like I have a second family both in owners and Rivian employees that I've come to know over the years and it keeps growing.

The forum is filled with posts about problems. Which is understandable. If things are going well, there is low motivation to post about it. But obviously there are a lot of people with great trucks and few problems.

Thank you so much for sharing this!

BTW - only 10k on my truck, and it has been practically flawless. I had one minor problem they fixed at the 7500 service. Even with some weird software bugs that has required me to reboot the truck, I would say this is extremely well built and reliable truck. (My wife's Grand Cherokee also has weird software bugs, so the bar isn't very high in the automotive industry in general.)

This also gives me hope they will manage the startup of the R2 better than Lucid managed the startup of the Gravity. That, IMO, has been really bad.

Great job, Rivian!

Great to read all these pots! I only have 13K miles on my 2023 R1T. One minor problem with hydraulic hose. I have owned a lot of different cars and trucks over the years, ranging from S600 to Porshce 911 and GMC Denali and F150. The R1T is the most capable vehicle I have ever driven. Would not drive anything else.

I was super sad all the ornaments blew off, but otherwise the tree traveled beautifully!

@CORivian-Ha! I got you beat. I have 19k miles in almost 3 years, mostly driving suburban roads that are infested by deranged individuals trying to kill each other. Just joking.

100,000 miles! PAAK (phone as a key)! Thank you so much for posting this! You are driving the R1 as it was intended. I got it in the hopes that people would also think I was a ruggedly handsome man that did all the things you actually do. Thus far, I have not been able to fool anyone. Rivian marketing should feature you! Cheers!

My R1S has been at the shop since October 28th, and I miss it so much. Praying I get it back today to be able to enjoy it this weekend. I put 20k+ miles in mine in a little over a year. I love driving it that much. It is also a favorite of our dog due to pet mode and how darn durable/easy to clean the interior has proved to be (and I'm on the ocean coast!) I, like many others, have major concerns regarding owning it outside of warranty, but honestly, I'd likely trade up when the time comes. I probably annoy people with how much I want to talk about it, but Rivians are that good and hopefully the R2 can steal the hearts of many more when its time comes.

Thank you for the post and for the reminder of just how good these vehicles can be. I truly feel for the people with terrible experiences (mine has not been a picnic either) as I truly cannot imagine owning anything else at the moment. I still get all excited when I see another Rivian on the road. What a special community we have here!

Thanks for sharing a positive story! I feel the same about my R1T, even with my relatively minor (but admittedly persistent) complaints about Bluetooth audio.

I can't compete with you on miles, but I do have you beat on min/max elevation.

Being in Colorado obligates a 14,xxx number!

It has not caused me to want to grow a beard or chop things down. Just sticking with the horses for now!

I am tempted to use/abuse AI to create some photos of me with a beard, chopping down trees with an axe, standing next to a mud covered R1. ;)

I drove up Mount Evans on the last day before it was renamed Mount Blue Sky.

It was unintentional, but kind of cool knowing I was one of the last people ever to be on "Mount Evans"

The low elevation is Death Valley. My truck has now been to the highest and lowest driveable points in the US.
