Just a regular wire ring. As for the bolt size I can't remember sorry

Gotcha, but at the 39:48 mark you mention not using the lights which is why you removed that existing connector, was that an aftermarket light or something built in? Admittedly I have not start to look under my hood since I am still waiting on the enclosure.

Big shoutout to Soonish! Enclosure is first rate and video(s) are very informative!

One note, on the 8 gauge wire, if you go the fork connector, purchase online. No big box or even local electronics Carrie’s them. Additionally, the proper crimper is $80. I talked to a local audio installer who said he makes his own fork by flattening the wire strands and splitting, then use the clamp on the amp to hole it down.

I have Gen 1. Pushing the wire through the firewall, I did not have to remove the panel in passenger footwell, it just snaked itself out. Maybe I got lucky?

Last, I sure hope I set everything right because I realized when I was putting the seats down that I should’ve driven for a while as, outside the little exterior knob, I completely took away access. Yes, dumb after the fact, but I was excited to be done and did not think ahead.

Anyway, fully worth the cost for the quality of materials, wiring, and video. Thanks again to Soonish!

I've done that last one too. That's why I added the adjustments on the amp before closing it up in the install video.

As for the fork, I've also used a ring terminal that I've cut.

Yeah, thank god you added that or would have been factory settings lol. If it wasn’t for that one strip of trim behind the seats 🤬, I wouldn’t even really care.

For those following for the R1S subwoofer upgrade. I've sent in my design for prototyping. However it uses a different amp for space considerations and a different sub due to we can use a bigger one.

Both are here if you want to snag em while on sale.

Just as heads up, production delivery is still 6-8 weeks away most likely. I'll try to get it done faster.
What’s the placement? Is it in the sub-floor compartment in the cargo area?

Replacing the existing sub but using the OEM cavity as it's large and can accept a 10" sub.

If we've understood correctly, the rca cable is not something to be sold separately. Would it be possible to get confirmation on the the part that attaches to the Rivian sub output?
We will be going with a larger enclosure and different driver to get the Fb down below 60hz.

Edit: is it a Mini-Fit Jr. 4.20mm pitch connector?

It is not that connector

Looks like it says "kum 2" and "mb" on the sub in my Gen 1.

Anyone know the connector?

I have a couple extra connectors but no RCA cable connected to them. (Like 3-4). Happy to send those at cost plus shipping.

hi! So this is still happening? One could buy amp and sub and eventually get the rest from you ? ;)
