Speaking of driving models, I’ve been trying out several models trying to find one that is stable laterally and doesn’t hug the center line. When I switch models should I also recalibrate? And how long should I drive with that model? I’ve been testing each model on a 4-lane highway for about a mile before I give up on it. Is that too soon?

That seems too soon to me. They say you shouldn't need to recalibrate either, but for the best results I'd probably go ahead and do it anyway.

Hope someone can help. My Comma AI was working fine prior to the last update which happened simultaneously with me remounting the unit lower on the windscreen. Since then, it appears to be stuck at the first screen. I've checked wifi connection - it's good. I've checked s/w - it says it's current. Checked cable connections. I tried rebooting both Comma and Rivian. Suggestions for something else to check appreciated.

You're on release-tizi for some reason. I'm not sure what that branch is, but it's not the recommended branch for Rivian owners. That's not going to work.

Install sunnypilot/staging and you should be fine.

I have been installing what was prompted by default on the device, so that's strange that it has directed me to something that no longer works.

Would you mind pointing me to instructions on loading a selected version?

That is weird... it looks like it's on an older release of Openpilot too. Staging is on 0.10.1, but this is on 0.10.0.

Anyway, make sure you're in Off-Road Mode and go to the Software menu. Then click "select" under Target Branch, type in "staging", and then click the "update" button. It will then download/install the Staging branch. Just make sure it ONLY says Staging (not staging-c3 or staging-tici, etc).

I don't think it will work that way if he's not on a sunnypilot build to start with. Besides, not knowing what was going on there, I'd be tempted to uninstall then start fresh - do custom software then type in sunnypilot/staging .

He is. He's on sunnypilot/release-tizi for some reason. But installing fresh works too.

No, he isn't. The screenshot clearly shows openpilot 0.10.0/release-tizi.

Ah, you're right. I was approaching this assuming he was on Sunnypilot in the first place. I've made an ass out of me.

So he was just on vanilla openpilot and somehow updated to release-tizi. Is that the current release version of vanilla OP?

Maybe the best thing to do is just install openpilot again fresh.

Sorry, Riv! In case you missed all that above, I had assumed you were on Sunnypilot and it looks like you were using vanilla Openpilot. My apologies!

I don't know what the current vanilla OP release version is, but I would try installing a fresh copy of OP and see if that fixes it. Or you could switch to Sunnypilot for that sweet MADS goodness!

Yeah, he should just switch to sunny. There really isn't any reason I'm aware of to stay on open.

I believe that I successfully installed sunnypilot (see below), however it still doesn’t seem to be activating - I’m guessing the NO PANDA means it isn’t connecting to the ACC ECU?
